Well, in Houston I knew a black woman, a former model, who had gotten a M.S. in chemistry who was a quadriplegic. She was a lovely person to talk to and she would talk about playing with the cards life dealt her. She had some movement in her right hand.
She would laugh about how many times a particular oil company had tried to hire her. She kept telling them, "No." But they were sure they could find a slot for her.
She's deceased now, but she outlived her also delightful able bodied husband.

I’m still waiting for someone to tell me how free healthcare is free.
All it means is someone else will pay for it. Either people who actually pay taxes or another generation as we continue to devalue our currency by printing money.

This dude is an idiot. With this job offer he'd be able to fund healthcare for his entire family, max out retirement savings, pay his taxes, and purchase employer provided life and disability insurance for him and his entire family, and STILL easily clear 200K or more.

It's along the same vein as the people who share outrage posts from rando twitter accounts that are sometimes multiple years old.
When called out, the response is always "Well, some people never saw it and they need to know because the mainstream media wouldn't report on this." Yet, it's usually some local media site connected to a larger mainstream outlet where you find out how old the video is in the first place.

I cant speak to much on this but I can speak to europe pays engineers WAY less than the USA. That income appears pretty close to what you'd expect for Germany/UK engineer in the consulting world with less than 10 years experience.
