It had some very deep convection blow up N of the center right at landfall. They were able to sample those in recon and updated the peak strength accordingly.
Worth noting they're actively trying to find the peak strength. The chances of anyone measuring a 100mph sustained wind is nil, but they rate these things based on peak winds, and they found them.
