This dude is dead and suffered from depression and all you can do is say screw him?? Geez...

He did some shady stuff (just like 99% of political people in America), but I really don’t think he deserves to be blasted right now. He’s got 3 kids, parents, siblings, etc...that are the ones who are suffering the most.

He was found in the woods, so I can only assume he shot himself.

They found him near Boomtown Casino, which was one of his big vices. It's really amazing he won a JP council election at 21 years old. This is the biggest parish in the state. I think his youth contributed to his downfall. All of his peers were 2 or 3 times older and had already earned their money. He was chasing the money the entire time but was a GOOD councilman, other than the shenanigans.

When it came to his councilman duties and votes, he looked out for the citizens. His downfall was in his personal life.

He nor anyone in his office ever replied to any of my calls regarding issues in his district that he was supposed to represent. Guess he was too busy.

School board at 21... still rather impressive though.

What always irked me about him was he always seemed to want to blast others... and those who do that often have their own demons.

I think it needs to be said that he was never accused of using his office to shake down anyone and never accused of any official acts of corruption. He seems like he had some issues, yes, but they do not seem related to his time on the council.

And if he was guilty of what he was accused of, then he serves 3-5 years in Club Fed, pays restitution, and goes on with life. He's still rather young.

Suicide is awful, not just for the one who dies, but for all who love him and depend on him.

That is extremely common in politics. Even the smallest response would be nice, but I would say that is definitely the norm when it comes to calls because they get tons of them. Even e-mails usually don't get a response, but you have a better chance with that.

Guy had never done ANYTHING in his life outside of suburban parish-level politics.

Likely couldn't see anything beyond that.

Axil broke on a float and ran up into the woods and kilt this guy. It was not a suicide. My wife heard it straight from a neighbor who saw a guy leaving the scene who had spoken with one of his cousins last night.

You forgot a couple of details...

1) The float driver was Herman Johnson, who you may have heard, was the largest baby ever born in Louisiana.

2) Kramer Robertson's mom was riding on said float.

very well connected and had the right circle of friends to win in that district.

you sure about that, wasn't there some conflagration about a duplex or a townhome?

There were rumors he got a below-market rental, and when they went to talk to the lady, they got her to talk by bringing up her own tax issues. She ended up pleading guilty to something like not properly filing a tax extension. But he was never charged, I believe, in that deal.

People cheat, lie, steal, fail, blow up their own lives all the time. While it is easy to judge, suicide is never the answer and redemption is always possible. RIP.
