They bought the bar (the actual buisness not the building) but the owner of the building made the original bar owner keep his personal guarantee on the lease.

This isn’t uncommon on bars/restaurants because how quickly they fail sometimes.

Fair enough. If I understand correctly, he's essentially subleasing the building from the original lessee? And he (allegedly) is delinquent on lease payments for the building that he is legally obligated to pay to the original lessee?

Putting honestly in a discussion about Broome or Delgado seems out of place.

The better mayor would be the one we could defeat easiest for reelection. I think that would have been Delgado.

I think Delgado would at least attempt to be pro-growth. He would be almost as likely to end up in jail as Broome.

No one is less pro growth than Broome.

Delgado would push for a Tram from LSU to Third Street, from Denham to Third Street, from Gonzales to Third Street, from Central to Third Street, and from Zachary to Third Street.

He'd build a big ole hub from Trams right by his bars!!!!

But seriously, you are right, he'd get tangled up with developers and wind up in the hoosegow.

SWB is pro-growth. As long as said growth is in North Baton Rouge. Where the earth has been salted and nothing will grow.

Oh, and with taxpayer money from South Baton Rouge. You know, the only place in town taxpayer money comes from.

There's no way most of it is interest and penalties.

No

He bought the buisness in an owner financing agreement to make $x payments every month and made 1 payment to the original owner. When the owner went to collect he said they’d just shut the doors and have the previous owner be ultimately responsible for the lease payments too.

He had The Bandit in that location. As I recall, it didn't last a year.

Sure it could and that's why he is a dumbass. It would be cheaper to go borrow the money from a bank, pay it in full and pay interest on a bank loan. But he's not too bright as I've noticed over the last several years, which is why he is a bar owner, ham and egg attorney and wanna be politician. He fits the bill regardless of what he is driving a "murdered" out Tahoe (whatever the frick that means) with a vanity plate or an in over his head leased Mercedes.

I pay way more than my fair share of taxes and have no sympathy for anyone who doesn't.

Out of everything I pointed out on this thread, was any of it inaccurate? Hard to claim I am an idiot when everything I said on here about him is true. Sorry that you're all butthurt over your shitty friend getting ousted. Pick better people.

It was a terrible buisness deal for the seller but it doesn’t remove the fact that your boy Delgado and his broke, fat frick partner, screwed a guy out of close to 40k.

Was the seller DS?

When did he give it up? I saw him driving around in it probably around a year ago or so when he was in heavy campaign mode so it's not really that outlandish to suggest he's still a douche for driving it

He's the lobbyist for the BRPD union. He can do that; you or I can't.
