I just want to know specifically what he did to some of the more passionate haters.
He and his piece of shite partner, Andrew Bayard, bought the bar that was Shady’s (I don’t remember what it was when they bought it) from a guy I know and made one payment to him then stopped. The way the sale/corporation was structured he couldn’t go after them personally and they threatened to just bail on the lease, which they all would have been responsible for, if he sued. It was a terrible buisness deal for the seller but it doesn’t remove the fact that your boy Delgado and his broke, fat frick partner, screwed a guy out of close to 40k.
Specific and concrete enough for you?
Yes I would love to meet him at Sonic

Did he lease or buy? What are you talking about?

They bought the bar (the actual buisness not the building) but the owner of the building made the original bar owner keep his personal guarantee on the lease.
This isn’t uncommon on bars/restaurants because how quickly they fail sometimes.

Since you are a friend of Delgado, do you know for how long he has not been paying sales tax to the City-Parish? To the State
Not sure of the time but he did tell me 40 other bar owners in the state were delinquent with him but look who they choose to write an article about.
He's local and he's news. But that's hardly uncommon nor is it illegal to be delinquent.

Delgado is a tool.
But I honestly think he'd probably be a better mayor than SWB if he ran. A potted plant would be a better mayor than SWB.

So they're making their money but stall on paying the original owner. Then, once he figures out what's going on, he slaps them with a lien, at which time they just shut the place down.
Is this how it went down? Because if so, that's a sweet little racket.

Until you try to run for mayor and/or continue doing buisness in BR.
Delgado would come out ok because his (ex)wife had decent money but his partner is way over leveraged
Mike can you get Delgado to chime in and clear a few things up? I’d love to know his take on all of these situations

A couple of things, the article was primarily about him owing City-Parish taxes so 40 other guys statewide isn't germane.
Second, Delgado is a public figure. He served on the CP Council and ran for mayor. When he argued with Gravy he makes news. When he called SGeans terrorists, he made the news. And yes if you are a public figure and you don't pay taxes, you will make the news whereas Joe Blow won't.
We all know that's how it works.
I'm trying to find out if he paid the sales taxes for his bars while he served on the CP Council. If you can find out, let me know.
TIA

Doing business in Baton Rouge is no big trick. I'm constantly amazed that Tommy Spinosa always manages to find suckers to lend him money.

Putting honestly in a discussion about Broome or Delgado seems out of place.
The better mayor would be the one we could defeat easiest for reelection. I think that would have been Delgado.

If anyone in Baton Rouge does buisness with Spinosa, at this point, and gets ripped off, its their own fault.

Look man, so he swindled your buddy out of $40K, is a chronic adulterer on his wife and family, and compared the hard working, tax paying supporters of St. George to terrorists, such as ISIS. I think if you sat down with him across the table and shared a drink with him, it would erase all these things and make him a good man.
Come on, man.

Good point. I’m clearly misguided and have an axe to grind due to misinformation fed to me through OT posts.

That's the legit kinda shite I was looking for.
I had heard about that sour deal before(maybe you or someone else mentioned it here).

I didn't single you out you fricking faqqot. I was making a legit point about the idiots like Tigress and the other poster who still think he's driving around in his 'murdered out' Tahoe.
I appreciate the real shite and ain't arguing it. fricking poontang. You're gonna meet ME at Sonic now and lemme touch that healthy penis of yours.

Well, there's really no 'if' to it. If you do business with Tommy Spinosa, you are going to get ripped off.
Yet, just watch. He'll come up with another scheme at some point, and the lenders will be practically lining up for a chance to throw money at him. And I blame them maybe even more than him. It's borderline criminal practice.
It's truly amazing. The slimeball STAYS in trouble. It's his default position.

Until he got up to go to the bathroom, snuck out the backdoor, and left me with the tab.

And yet he's connected enough for the Planning Commission, the CP Council, and others to give him variances, and free passes.
Look how long he jerked around the Library Board, but at least they woke up finally.

And they're complicit in it as well.
Which goes back to my point: this town is a cesspool.
