Jesus. We better have a stronger candidate for mayor next election than Delgado or Bodi. Either way, we're still likely facing another round of SWB unless we can get her arse jailed.

The operatives words are “Sales taxes”... if there weren’t sales being made, there wouldn’t be taxes to pay on them.

The market is not over saturated, there just aren't enough residents and tourists in downtown Baton Rouge for "tag along" style bars to win.
Choose to compete with the rest of Baton Rouge instead of just downtown and I think you'd be fine. Build Draft House to compete with the Bulldog and not just be a beer bar that has 10% more taps than Happy's (if they choose to stay stocked up). Build Huey's to compete with Olive-or-Twist and not just a random cocktail bar.
Oh, this also means hire a qualified staff. Happy's took the market on using scantily clad girls as the sole bar staff, so you probably can't do that.
