I really don't understand folks like you who cheer while the government forces people to choose between feeding their kids and having a forced medical procedure performed on them.

I'm very much opposed to the government overreach. I'm fine if a company wants to mandate it on their own but not fine with the government telling them they have to.

I have and actually have an interview tomorrow but it's pretty clear that this administration isn't going to stop with just this mandate so I'm not sure that moving on will even fix anything long term

This is the problem. Unless you don't work for a company, it's going to find you, so having other corporate gigs ready isn't a solution. I don't see how this nonsense persists through challenges and the case counts taking this below pandemic level, but many will have to do something before those things win out.

Everyone should be fighting against the EO driven mandates either way.

He has the shot so, no, I don't understand why he would be willing to starve his kids over something that literally has zero impact on him. It's retarded.

they know that most working people can't afford to "let themselves get fired". But, they won't dare mandate this for non-working welfare sucking off the govt tit leeches.

Nah. I have my full series and got my booster last week. I’m moving to a contract position in January so I won’t be effected by a larger company mandate at that point, but I work with the general public and some of my clients (and kids I work with now) are immunocompromised.

I will do whatever I have to in order to maintain my current employment with the exception of a mandated vaccine.

If it comes down to that I’ll find another job. Simple as that.

I know there are rules for 1099 v W2 for employers but my experience is it’s not very aggressively enforced.

If there is a big move to 1099s as a result of this, I would think it may be more aggressively audited/enforced also.

I’m vaccinated but had some annoying side effects and told myself I’d never do it again. Might be worth starting the process of becoming a sole proprietor CPA.

I guess if I have to. I fall in the camp of medical exemption. I have some autoimmune issues and my dr. said I don't need it. IDK if my company will allow it and if they do I guess I have to wear a mask 8 hours a day? That seems terrible. All of us are walking around with no mask and have been for a LONG time.

Seems a little fricked up that anyone coming across the border isn't forced with this but we have no choice.

This is why everyone should raise hell with their congressmen & senators & governors

It’s bullshite for it to be mandated for some & not all

Proves they are just trying to destroy the working class

I have an AA coworker who is currently pregnant with her and her husband's first child. They've been trying to have a kid for years and so far everything is good and healthy.

job is currently trying to strongarm her into getting the vax (get it or you're fired) Her husband says no fricking way he'd rather work extra shifts than let her inject herself with anything for their first healthy baby.

She'll be putting her 2 weeks notice in if she hasn't already. And honestly, she's a really good worker and her leaving will be a major loss which will probably lead to even more turnover. And we don't exactly have applicants lining up because people are figuring out they can make more money outside louisiana.

btw I support her 100%. Idgaf if they say it's safe during pregnancy - you can still fricking get covid. "it reduces symptoms" is weak justification when you consider that for the vast majority, covid never HAD symptoms in the first fricking place.

These businesses and the govt are playing with fire and they're going to get fricking burned.

btw im vaxxed and i still feel this way. and no, my mom getting both modernas and then hospitalized with covid a month later doesn't affect my opinion at all - i always thought these shots are propagandized to be more effective than they actually are.
