Got it last Friday. I think I’ve gotten one every year since 2010.

A. I’m usually at my drs office once a quarter for a body scan or to meet with my trainer so it’s easy to just ask the nurse to hit me.

A. The flu sucks and they handle most of the circulating strains and alleviate symptoms of the strains they couldn’t anticipate.

Why don’t you Google it and read for yourself.
Btw, I don’t use either of those things, but that’s not important to you.

If you googled and took away with what is posted in the OP, then I don't know what to say. The study does not come to that conclusion

“People need to stop getting their medical advice from Twitter”

I read the same Cleveland Clinic study but not on Twitter.
I also read the Cleveland Clinic study they did on Covid shot, among their 50,000 plus employees the more shots they took the higher the incidence of Covid infections.
That correlated with what I saw with people in my community, everyone that took the Covid shot and boosters had Covid 2-3 times.
A long time acquaintance of 50+ years took a total of 4 Covid shots, after the last one he ended up in ICU with multiple blood clots in his lungs and elsewhere. Was in acute renal failure and had dialysis couple of weeks,he recovered but spent a total of 2 months in hospital.

My PCP doesn’t believe in flu shots. He’s been in practice 35 years, said in his experience he’s seen more harm than benefit from flu shots.
What he pushes is Vit D3,wants a level of 50 ng.He feels it is more effective
than flu shots, optimizes immune system and moderates immune response if one does get the flu.

During Covid he had gotten a large stash of ivermectin and gave it to his pts.free of charge. He swore them to secrecy but he did that at risk of being persecuted by the medical cabal. One of his partners that initially ridiculed him came around and started giving ivermectin after he saw the results he was having.
I didn’t know all that about him giving ivermectin during Covid, his office nurse told me about it afterwards.
When I got Covid I took feed store ivermectin and all my symptoms were gone in 24 hours.
When I was forced to get a PCP by my Medicare Advantage Plan ,I of course, went to him.

Last but not least,an I.D Dr.I knew for years when I worked ICU told me he didn’t take flu shots, didn’t believe in them.He didn’t elaborate, that’s what he said when I asked him.

Cleveland Clinic conducted a study of 53,402 employees during the 2024–2025 respiratory viral season.

Went and read through this and here some things you should know. First, this is not a peer reviewed paper.

Second, the subjects are only Cleveland Clinic employees, a specific population, which affects external validity. The study did not look at children, elderly, or those with pre-existing conditions. Because they looked at just CC employees did not account for other areas of the population, the findings cannot be concluded to affect the population as whole.

The study was also just observational. Not a randomized controlled trial that accounts for confounding variables.

CC also said there was a new circulating strain that was not covered by the vaccine used in the study.

I think it's an interesting paper and should be talked about. But there are several deficiencies that make it unreliable in determining the effectiveness of the flu vaccine. Several other studies that came out from that flu season that were peer-reviewed and accounted for confounding variables showed it's effectiveness in preventing severe illness, hospitalization, and death. CC noted these deficiencies themselves and said this does not mean you should not get the vaccine.

I'm not telling you what you should or shouldn't do, but just thought I'd explain why this paper is not conclusive about the issue

I am no immunologist, but I would have to believe that coming out with new flu vaccines every year plays a large part in the virus’ adaptation to survive

Even if we did not have the vaccine, our immune system would develop resistance to strains and mutations would happen at the same rate they already do.

So why don't we let our immune system fight it off? Because your immune system has no idea how to fight it off when you get sick for the first time. Vaccine exposes you to a killed particle so that it triggers your primary immune response, and if you get infected, your immune system knows how to fight it off and your secondary immune response to rid it way faster.
