With the onset of the upcoming flu shot season, many employers are offering flu shots to employees, not to mention ads seen around pharmacies, etc.

Question:

What are your thoughts on the flu shot for this year?

A. Definitely getting one, get one every year.
B. Probably get one, usually get one every year or so.
C. Not this year, but have gotten flu shots in the past.
D. Never had one, never will.

I'm probably going to be C.

Just don't trust vaccines anymore after the eye opening covid "vaccine".
I used to get the flu shot every year until Covid shot I regrettably took in '21.
I haven't had the flu shot since.
Now, if I could be fully convinced there is nothing nefarious about the flu shot and it really will help not getting the flu, I MIGHT consider it.

I’ve gotten about 3 flu shots in my life. I’ve never tested positive for the flu in my life until about 2 weeks ago. Flu A knocked my proverbial dick in the dirt. I fricked around thinking I could toughen through it and just keep working 10 hour days. I ended up with pneumonia and had to get in-clinic breathing treatments. Had to argue my way out of being admitted to the hospital. Doctor said I wouldn’t have had it half as bad, had I gotten a flu shot.

D -and I’ve only ever had the swine flu (H1N1) that we caught in Disney World

Although my husband and #3 did not get it - and they’ve never had the flu shot either

Who wants to prevent the flu? I get off work, the family takes care of me and leaves me alone, the days after feeling better are the best feeling days of the year.

I never get the flu but it seems fantastic. Probably lose weight too.

I was mandated to take a flu shot for 2 decades.

I'll never take another one.

A.

Mainly because I'm in healthcare and have it get it anyway, but I also have no qualms with it. I understand the covid vaccine caused a lot of doubt, but the evidence is pretty cut and dry about the flu vaccine. Will it prevent you from getting the flu 100%? No. But it does pretty good at preventing hospitalizations and death if you do catch it. If that ruffles some feathers on this board, so be it

True story, I know more young people (1) that died from swine flu than I do that died from covid (0). Yet somehow that one was a nothing burger.

I think I actually posted a memorial thread for the guy I knew that died back in 09 or 10 on here.

D.

Haven't had the flu or even flu-like symptoms in 30 or more years. Every time my wife gets the damn shot-------and that's every year-----she gets to feeling under the weather for a few days afterwards. I don't see the point of it.
