Dennis Winn, a 72-year-old from Lake County, Florida, was arrested for shooting down a Walmart delivery drone with his 9mm handgun after it flew over his property.

Legal consequences for Winn include felony charges due to the significant damage to the drone, estimated in thousands of dollars.

The words he meant to say were: I want a lawyer.

I hope he enjoys his time in jail, and losing his right to bear arms. Probably didn't think it through.

With all the drone induced hysteria and lack of government denial how can you blame this guy?
Give him a medal.

The old days before body cams the cops would have just let this go. I hope the guy just settles with Walmart and the DA just lets this go.

Serious question: Is Wal-Mart allowed to fly a delivery drone over his house?

And if so, why?

I'm not a lawyer, but would guess whatever law allows planes and helicopters to fly over also covers drones.
