I'm sure he didn't, if he was raised in a conservative home, he probably resented it. That may have contributed to his hatred toward Charlie.
Probably a quiet kid that kept to himself and no one saw this coming.
Was likely somewhat indoctrinated through the education system and/or the Internet and took statements about the Right being Nazis pretty literal.

I don't know much about gun registration, but if that is an old family gun, isn't there a good chance the serial number isn't on any database?

Not a fan, not taking sides, but this one was unafraid of roof tops, he made one long range shot to the neck, and he might have gotten away without one picture taken. Guy seem's a step up from your usual limp wristed disgruntled twink and highly capable of removing a serial number off a planned to leave behind gun.
