Roma Deli in BR was GOAT. Always had trouble deciding between the "Mama Mia" and "That's Italian" sandwiches, Roma style of course.

Panchos obviously, but when I was younger I loved Morrison's Cafeteria in Bossier City. It blew Picadilly away. Yhe food was awesome.

I don’t know if any of you older fellas remember T. Pittari’s in New Orleans, but that was my wife’s grandfather. When he died the restaurant got passed down to his son and they moved it from magazine to South Claiborne and I think it only lasted a few more years after that.
I remember T. Pittari's. I think that's where I had my first lobster.
We used to stop at Tony Pedone's in Covington on the way back to Bogalusa from New Orleans. Landry's in Bogalusa was also good.

Ground Patty on Sherwood. Pewter mugs & peanuts strewn all over the floor. Great burgers

Lynn's (a hole in the wall on the south side, great tamale's)
Beef and Ale was great.
Jacob's was like going to a country club without the membership.
Lynn's---I can't imagine how many tamale's I have digested from there. Easily in 4 digits.

The Katfish Kitchen in Eola outside of Bunkie. Was a staple for many many years.

The owner's grandson has been making and selling bean dip, tamales, and some other stuff... the bean dip is just as good as I remember it. Check out Taste of La Fonda on facebook.

Someone brought up Pedigo's.. The son (I thinK) has opened Pedigo's Cafe in Walker serving steaks. If you ask for it with extra seasoning, you'll remember Pedigo's over near Tom/Dallas Drive area..
Also, Giovanni's. Loved the place. Same family operated Pasta Garden I think. I would KILL for the cookbook from that place. Treasured mine, but lost it in the flood.

Mickey's Golden Nugget on Nicholson in BR....looked like a dump, outside, but the steaks were great and the inside was pretty nice

Don Pedigo was originally a mechanic, and had Tune Up on Wheels. He was the 1st mechanic in BR to ever offer mechanic service like that out of his van.
