Manuel’s hot tamale cart. I remember as a kid my dad would immediately pull over any time he seen cart. They were so much better than the authentic Mexican ones with that thick rubbery corn meal crap.

Parents would drive from Lake Charles to Orange, TX to eat there. I had my 5 year old birthday dinner there and got a Sombrero and a Pinata and thought id died and gone to heaven.

Add in the all you can eat tacos and sopapillas and life couldnt get better.

We would stop at the store every Sunday after lunch at my grandmothers. Hot tamales were pretty much dinner every sunday

I don’t know if any of you older fellas remember T. Pittari’s in New Orleans, but that was my wife’s grandfather. When he died the restaurant got passed down to his son and they moved it from magazine to South Claiborne and I think it only lasted a few more years after that.

Dearman's has been closed due to a fire for almost two years now. David is almost ready to reopen, but has had delays. My family has definitely missed the place.

Not a restaurant, but Joe Ds on Jefferson Highway near Government use to fry the best chicken and their BQ beans were the best.

Godfather's is back in Bossier City.

Don's All Beef Burgers on Oahu. Closed when their famous "100% Beef Burgers" turned out to be horsemeat.

When I was a kid we used to attend Saints games at old Tulane Stadium. There was a Roy Rodgers place across the street. Best roast beef sandwich in the world!!!
