Overview
The Asian Andy Squatter Saga refers to a series of livestreams and videos in which IRL streamer Asian Andy, along with fellow streamer Scufffed Justin Carrey (SJC) and other streamers, attempt to evict a squatter, Mary Cameron (aka Mary Bakrania), from his sister's home in California, which was being used as an Airbnb. Purportedly, in late May 2024, Cameron signed on to stay at the Airbnb for 28 days, then, after the 28 days, claimed that she stayed there for over 30 days so she could claim squatters rights and continue living in the home for free. As retaliation, Asian Andy and Carrey went to the home in late June 2024 and attempted to make Cameron's life as difficult and miserable as possible to try and force her out, later uploading highlights of the situation to YouTube in August and September of that year. On July 12th, 2024, Mary Cameron filed a wrongful eviction lawsuit against the home's owners.

Lawsuit
On July 12th, 2024, Mary Cameron filed a lawsuit against streamer Justin Carrey and the Airbnb homeowners, Nhu Van and Quong Van, for wrongful eviction, which is available to view on UniCourt.[16]
On August 10th, Asian Andy made a post on X[17] discussing the lawsuit and sharing photos of court-related documents, writing, "She’s been non stop contacting city council calling out my sister and the police, keeps trying to serve us and sue us. She said we tried to r4pe her. Just tons of drama, planning on releasing it soon."
At about 22 minutes into the video, the other guy shows up and it amplifies a bit.
Asian Andy's Instagram with videos, if the guy in the YT video is too annoying.

I’m not watching all that.
How did he make them miserable?

I feel like if someone is squatting in my home, I would go in a drag them out by their hair. Once they are out, they have no squatters rights and things are back to normal. Why don’t people do that?

In most situations, you'd be arrested and the cops would let them back in.

Avoiding jail and possible felony prosecution is a strong motivator.
Note, I'm not saying this is right, but it's the situation in most jurisdictions.

I don't understand this squatter thing at all. Show up and find someone in my house? Call and report a burglary. It's my house and they are in it illegally.

I don’t understand it at all, but there must be some time limit. Like if they can prove they have been there X number of days then they have right to stay. It’s stupid. And this woman clearly is taking advantage of it. It’s a long video but was actually satisfying to see someone out squat her.
They said she rented it for 28 days and then said she was there for 30. So possibly 30 days is the cut off point where you have a legal right to stay after? She seems to know and worn the system.

Saw this weeks back... He does some crazy stuff and the cops are constantly there.
Its so odd just seeing her walking around the house with him there like she owns the place. She knows exactly what she is doing.
Apparently she is known to the community and has done this numerous times, but under Cali Laws, the cops can't do shite.

Usually the houses are either rentals or abandoned for some time, so it's not that easy. The squatters claim they have a lease. If this happens, LEO won't get involved b/c it's a civil issue. The owner has to then evict them.
In jurisdictions like California, evictions take forever. This is really popular in states/areas that have strong renter/tenant laws for this reason.
Once they're evicted, they move to the next one.

If it's my house, could I not touch them, but maybe change the locks on all the doors, and then nail a board across the door that they're in, and board up any windows of that room while they're still in there? Never lay a finger on them?

Watched it all. Was a good watch and I laughed a lot. Asian Andy is hilarious!
Uh...isn't that kidnapping?

Wait....is this not about weight lifting?

I’ve wondered why others haven’t tried this same strategy.

I can assure with 100% accuracy no one would come break into and squat in my home and I would not immediately remove them.

Who has time to watch a 26 minute video?
Posted on 9/13/24 at 10:39 am to alphaandomega
I'm surprised there would be jurisdictions in Alabama that are particularly friendly to this sort of bullshite.
