It’s CA, plenty of homeless drug addicts looking for easy money.

Hire a handful for $100 each, tell them a fake name for yourself, have them beat the squatter severely enough to require hospitalization.

Problem solved!

I love these squatter vigilante YouTubers. The squatter hunter is good too.

No real interest in watching all of that.

This is a great example of the failure of our judicial system.

Imagine an argument that there is no recourse to get someone off your property. It's absurd.

Usually the houses are either rentals or abandoned for some time, so it's not that easy. The squatters claim they have a lease. If this happens, LEO won't get involved b/c it's a civil issue. The owner has to then evict them.

Logic would dictate that there would need to be some evidence of the lease...some evidence of payment...etc.

You people who tie yourself in knots logically because a failed system enables a problem humor me.

I feel like if someone is squatting in my home, I would go in a drag them out by their hair. Once they are out, they have no squatters rights and things are back to normal. Why don’t people do that?
I'm surprised more people do not do that. They would probably shoot squatters in Kentucky and West Virginia.

But to the point of your question as why they don't do that is because it is against the law to do so once one has established residence. The evictor would be arrested. I feel bad for both sides.

I'm pretty surprised this sort of situation doesn't end up with more dead people.

Uh...isn't that kidnapping?

Isn’t squatting breaking and entering, burglary, and theft?

Why would you feel bad for both sides?

One is a free-loading leach to society that is literally stealing income from someone.

Do you think the bank gives a frick if a squatter lives there and the mortgagee has no income from the property to pay said mortgage? Nope. Who’s credit will get destroyed? Who will have to file bankruptcy? Not the squatter.

It costs to live in this world, and in a world not long ago, Mary would have been assassinated, as she should be.

It's absurd because what you just said isn't an accurate description of the issue.

People who have no problem lying and committing fraud can manipulate any system, also.

The woman may be alone in the world with no income and no place to go. Might even have a disability. This may be her only option other than the street.

In court? Yes.

LEO isn't a court.

So California has just created a brand new profession by implementing ridiculous progressive laws. Who wants to start a professional "annoyance" business? You could train people, pay them a wage, and create contracts with business owners.

That’s dumb.

If I steal your car I can’t just tell a cop you rented it to me. The cop isn’t going to just say “oh, that’s civil”.

How are the self defense laws in California? Couldn’t you just shoot them in the head, lay a knife or gun next to them and claim self defense?

The limits of what cops can do with cars is a lot more expansive than what they can do in your house.

Do you want to permit LEO to enter your home at will b/c someone says you are squatting, making you turn over your mortgage paperwork quickly or risk being escorted out?

When cops pull you over in a car, one of the first things they do is ask for the registration.

You are doing it again.

You are using a broken system to justify an absurd reality.

Simple logic by cops that they use for all accusations of crime would solve 99% of this.

Keep defending.

The same basic investigative technique solves this.

Can you show you own the property? Can the accuser? Can you show a rental agreement? Can you show any payment?

This is a retarded argument.

Apparently she is known to the community and has done this numerous times, but under Cali Laws, the cops can't do shite.
