You opened for Alabama?

No, Mark Chesnutt. Apologies for confusion. Not as big as Alabama, but still a cool check mark to put on my resume either way.

Kiss was before my time, but because my parents listened to all the good music, the first song I ever learned on guitar was "Detroit Rock City"...and it was because Ace was the coolest guy on the planet. My first guitar hero. Damn.
My band opened for him around a year ago, and while he was extremely nice and polite, in no way was he at a performance level...don't blame anyone for getting money how they can, but it was a tough watch.

Creed

jokes aside, 12 Stones and Skillet are top notch (even though I'm not as big into Skillet)

I'll be the first to crack open the digital can.

I am running a Quad Cortex and it covers 95% of my needs. I also have a Walrus Audio Fable, Matthews Effects Technician, and Eventide H9 Max in the FX loop, which can cover any remaining 5% when needed.

I do miss the thrill of chasing new pedals and constructing a pedalboard and trying "new" stuff, but for gigging....it can't be beat.
There was that whole Russian/Ukrainian fisticuffs episode.
Just smashed 2 at lunch. Could've eaten 10 more. Make it stay TB.

Also, I'm going to make a broad-brush generalization here that is my opinion...and my opinion only, but I think musicians generally become shittier song writers as they get older. Maybe "shittier" is the wrong term, but I don't think the material is as interesting as it is when they are younger. Maybe a new Creed album would be good, but I doubt it would be as good as their first 3 albums, and I certainly wouldn't want to attend a live show that prioritized marketing the new stuff over their old hits.

This statement right here is exactly why Tremonti will never truly be overrated in anything. He's 30+ years into this gig and still putting out great tunes with multiple projects. Do they all have the nostalgia hit of "Higher" or "One Last Breath"? No. But...in many cases, he is putting out better songs now than his early career....which is, to quoted posters point, extremely rare.
I don't use my chainsaw when a knife will do. But when I need a chainsaw, it's nice to have.

I once had one pat me on the back at the Tractor Supply when it wandered off from the Myrtles...
Further echoing what has already been said...haven't played the LC model, but have played multiple iterations of the Sire bass line and they punch way above their weight in value. Played a couple new, right of the box and it was literally tune up and run with.
I had a similar thought string yesterday while mowing. When new technology comes out, we act as if we have invented something. In reality, all the material and laws of physics have always existed and anything that exists now, or in the future, could have existed at any point in time. The principles of making, say a computer, existed in the same time that pyramids were being constructed. Maybe that's too close of a conspiracy theory to use as an example. The principles of creating a combustible engine automobile existed at the same time as cavemen were walking around caves.

Ok, enough rambling.
Estranged goes hard.

Don't Cry (alt lyrics for me) also has a great melodic solo.

November Rain has reached the unfortunate status of getting labeled as overrated because it was so widely pushed....but to OP's point. Those solos are still amazing.

Plenty of other solos in the world that reach the level of these....all up to personal taste. But these are three of Slash's finest work.
Everything you love about Louisiana is Bawcomville
Anyone that embarrasses the Cowboys and makes them quit on their season is worth an appreciation in my book.
The docks scene, and the whole BB movie, is probably the most well rounded encapsulation of what Batman should be, in my opinion.

But I will say that for all the hate it gets, when I was a 7 year old seeing Batman and Robin, along with the action figures in walmart, the mcdonalds promotion, and all other things marketing genius for a simple southern boy....that "look" was Batman to me for the longest time.
It's the old Kenny Rogers song about playing your last card in your hand

"you gotta know when hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away, and when to kick another human being in the nuts because you're a piece of shite and you then blame your woes on another race" :violin:
He's got a great charter bus line.
