No way are an arse. What's wrong with something fun? Make it fun. It sounds kinda goofy. You obviously have to entice them with false promises. Tell them they can buy anything they want, then don't. You'll be the a-hole, but an a-hole with a Family Santa pic

Isn't 15 a bit old to still take pics with Santa?

shite baw last year there was a family from Ville Platte in line behind us and they all got in the pic with Santa. People in their 40s, 50s, 60s and shite a couple of them were probably around 70. That was a crowded pic with 15 grown coonasses and a Santa Claus.

I would've taken a pic but respected the photographer's rule of "no cell pics allowed".

Your two kids are too old to go sit on Santa's lap for a photo op.

Santa pictures...with 15 & 17 year olds? I think you should embrace the soul crushing nature of modern christmas without little kids. Let it wash over you like a warm stream of piss from a kind, but portly, drunk man. Don't try to capture the magic, it will only hurt more when it falls flat.

Do you have a pet you can work into the picture?

Cabela's, most pet stores, animal shelters have holiday pictures with Santa for cheap. Might be a way to get your teens involved.

You married someone who doesn’t give a damn about your kids.

Trying to take struggling, troubled teens to go have a picture with alcoholic Santa in the rat infested mall? Damn you must either hate your kids or hate your life. Either way, at least you married someone with brains.

Seems like an odd hill to die on. Enjoy that last visit with the troubled teens... because it may be your last since they'll now be old enough to tell mom that they don't want to see your weird azz.

We went to Mall of LA last Sat at lunch and nobody in line. The scene is garbage this year and will be our last. We are going to Bass Pro from now on. Club members get top package for $20.

Your wife doesn’t want a picture with your kids. Take one without her.

15 and 17 are way too old for that baw. All their friends are going to make so much fun of them if they see them sitting on Santa's lap at the mall

We went to Bass Pro. Made appointment online. Didn’t even have to touch Santa’s wiener cuz there’s a little bench to sit on. It’s super cheesy, but I think it’s a fun way to spend time with the family. Better than sitting around doing nothing.

Not really indifferent, they don’t want to hurt your feelings. 15 and 17 year old kids don’t want to go to the mall to have pictures with Santa. Props to you for raising teenagers that are just indifferent about the situation.
