He should've been executed in '96, and they didn't need to find a vein, just needed to torture him and bury him alive.

If a person can run a hose from a muffler inside his car and kill himself, it should be very easy to accomplish the same thing in instances like this.

I'm pretty sure if you just inject them anywhere it'll do the job

Hanging needs to be the default method. It’s swift, quick, and humane.

What’s the point of having 2?

The infusions are very fast and it would be really bad if the one was occluded or couldn’t take the flow.

Even if it’s a low percentage risk, people smarter than both of us decided that not addressing that risk proactively would violate the inmates eighth amendment rights.

What I’m wondering is how big of drug user you need to be to scar up all of your veins like that, and went to work on the subclavian vein to boot that they couldn’t get a central line.

I don’t understand why they don’t just give them a mask of nitrogen. Painless asphyxiation. The feelings of suffocation is just from not being able to expel carbon dioxide, not from a a lack of oxygen. You’ll just pass out so fast you don’t even realize what’s happening.

No vein, shove it up his arse, down his throat, or in his eye.

Easily fixed. Medically install a port before wheeling them in there

Can you imagine being minutes from certain death but instead getting a one year stay of execution?

these people are trained beforehand to make it difficult to find a vein. this has happened many many times.

State government: Fentanyl is so dangerous, just touching a miniscule amount will kill you.

Also state government: We are having trouble killing people on death row.

Obvious takeaway: Why don't they use fentanyl?

I'll never understand why they don't just take a couple confiscated fentanyl pills and make him down those. Over in a minute, and no cost to the taxpayer.
