He's running against dog shite Ken Paxton. I thought Beto would perform better against Cruz than he did, but Cruz is miles better than Paxton. And that's saying something.

Paxton is so crooked that his own party voted to put him up for impeachment in the state house. If not for an extraordinary amount of backroom dealing the senate would have convicted him.
This is like when the democrats kept running Marion Berry for mayor in Washington DC even if he got caught in a hotel with a hooker smoking crack.
