How many non-magnet kids actually attend in person these days? I'm pretty sure all the EBR maskers have been 'homeschooling' the whole time anyway...

Only if the teacher actually gives a shite about the well being of the students.

Which is why you're seeing teacher's union members demand virtual learning for the future.

They can sit back, collect their check, and not give one flying frick what happens to the kids.

Didn’t President Regan fire air traffic controllers across the country that went on strike? Fire them all, using Covid as an excuse because you really don’t want to go to work but you want those tax dollars to continue to roll in to pay your salary.

Hats off to the parents who do what it takes to send your kids to private school. Worth every penny.

Parents sending their sick as frick kids to school, and parents that never work with their kids, low pay, and no benefits.…

frick being a teacher in this pandemic and in general, it’s the worst job in America. 25 mouth breathers in a single room, all day everyday… The good teachers are being run off. Public schools will turn into a glorified daycare with some idiots with no degree running the classroom.

I love how each person on that stage can be considered morbidly obese. Yet they are seriously trying to say they care about their health and well being

A sick-out is lame. "We're gonna use all our PTO, then go back to work, if you're not careful!"

Just strike if you mean it.

It’s seems like the theme here is that teachers are getting paid to test positive for Covid. God damn, if it wasn’t so obvious what the government is trying to do it would be funny but it’s not.

Who is us?

Unions are inherently liberal. Not necessarily lazy.

They should be paid whatever the contract says they get paid while they are sick. Regardless of the illness. That's how sick leave works.

Once that runs out, they are on their own. Take PTO or FMLA or find another gig.

Teachers are so damn dramatic. Not to mention, about 75% of them are worthless at their job.

This is a crappy thing to do to kids. Some parents are going to leave kids at home because they have to work and those kids can get in serious trouble. One kid I used to work with got pregnant on a day when school was closed because too many teachers were out sick. Her mom had to work, left her home alone, and the girl invited her boyfriend over. She was 12 at the time.

That sounds more like a parenting problem than a teacher/school problem.
