Education tax should be À la cart. If you have kids in public school. You should pay school/education taxes. If you don’t have kids in public school then you should not have to pay education/school taxes.

This should be very attractive to the “pay your fair share” crowd.

Jesus this next generation is gonna be so retarded with all the school they are missing.

And in 20 years the kids that went to private school will be accused of being “privileged”

Literally no government program/department works if you let people that don’t want/need it opt out.

I’m not arguing in favor of that but it’s the answer you’ll get back.

Who is us? Unions are inherently liberal. Not necessarily lazy.

Teachers. I'm saying that most of the teachers in that union are lazy and bitch about everything.

I have it on good authority from the useless teachers' unions that teachers are heroes.

Let’s be honest. This is really teachers wanting more money.

I’m perfectly fine them getting paid more. Make a years salary. But then their asses need to work a full year. Schools open in the summer where they can teach idk, fricking something and give the kids more playtime. No more early release day so they can “catch up on paperwork”. I get it, you have to work nights and weekends sometime. We all fricking do though. A new theme park is being built in Orlando and I’m cranking out estimates till midnight. Stop using that as an excuse. Get paid more like you want but also only get 10 federal holidays a year. Not 2 months.

Stop being obtuse. The unions in big cities make all teachers look bad. Read some of the uninformed drivel on here...

Now EBR is taking a page out of the Chicago playbook. Hence, the union is making "us" all look bad. It isn't hard to understand.

It's time for the school board to play the race card on these teachers. Let's see how they react.
