I went to one of A&Ms games at the UH regional back in 2017. The UH baseball field is not in the best area, and when we got out late we were driving down the road and the same thing happened. People just started walking out into the street and just stared at us. I went fuuuuuck this and turned off the street. I got on the freeway that was two blocks away and it was the wrong one but I was just getting the frick out of there ASAP

Back in the early 80s, I played high school baseball(MGM) and we played Blount at Pollard Park in Prichard. The sewer line from the park bathroom had apparently broke underground and ran through the left-centerfield gap.

Our players had all car pooled to the game. While the game was going on, our vehicles were broken into, tires and rims were stolen, and every batter from our team was cussed out by the "fans" in the stands. We won and were being threatened while we were trying to leave. We never car-pooled to a game after that

That’s akin to home football games at Bastrop High. They pack the entire parking lot for the pregame and very grudgingly yield to drivers.

Yeah the California hoods ain’t what they used to be. Compton nowadays is mainly lower middle class Mexicans.

About 10 years ago, the lights went out at Prichard Stadium for a high school football game. That's the stadium right next to I65 north of Mobile. Gunshots rang out. When the lights came back on, maybe a 100 people were left in the stands and that was mostly parents of the players

Most of the ghetto trash has been priced out and pushed to the Inland empire, Vegas and other cheaper areas.

Drive through any ghetto in America. You will see tons and tons of luxury cars.

I used to drive some of my players home from practice from time to time. Usually came up to a run down trailer with a Mustang/Chrysler 300 in the front.

I didn't see him drive through zion city or Scotlandville.

Don't know if it is called Scotlandville but he drove right around there. Those were the streets by Exxon off of Scenic highway near Redemptorist and I'm pretty sure it is SVille.

Seriously, why don’t they have mass suicides in those places?

The other answers are good. There is also religion. Which has been keeping hopeless people alive for thousands of years.

That's pretty much most of downtown Memphis.

Baltimore is the worst. I've never driven through a city wishing for a mounted M2 more than that shithole.

It's funny that all of those hoods in BR had relatively new cars in front of the houses.

You see the 1-2 year old, white GMC Yukon on rims sitting in front of the dilapidated house

No it isn't.

The hoods are in the far south and north parts of the city. If downtown Memphis scares you, you either haven't been there in fifteen years or you get scared of Calgary downtown too.

Enlighten the OT more about your shitty city, why don’t you. Let’s hear about your hood rat perspective on your city.
