DoorDash charges $10 to bring me $20 worth of food on top of the raised menu prices on the DoorDash app.
I don’t tip a penny.

Just remember that DoorDash takes a fair amount of that as a service fee. That goes directly to DoorDash, not to the driver. If you aren't tipping or only tip $2 or $3, don't be surprised when you are waiting forever as no driver accepts your order.

Folks downvoting you are bored with their lives. When not on TD they zombie scroll through it daily and are mad you called them out

frick door dash under eats and all of em. Stopped using them forever ago. Used to be a nice way to have a night in.

Then menu prices kept going through the roof before delivery fees AND tip. Food always arrived cold and 50% chance it was correct.

I’m fully aware

No issues and been happening a long time as drivers know people tip after the order is dropped off.

The DoorDash Reddit is interesting. Horror story after horror story from customers about bad drivers.

Knock on wood. I have been lucky in this sense, but I always tip at least $5.

I’ve never used any of these sites but saw a social video of a driver complaining, actually laughing more than complaining, about having to pick up heavy garden ROCKS from home deport and only getting a small tip. Didn’t even know you could uber Home Depot.

Anyway, had to side with the driver on getting shafted for that pick up.

They don't prep it, check it for accuracy, etc.

No, they spend between 11 and 30 minutes driving it to your arse, sitting in traffic, and dealing with stupid drivers, and then trying to find your poorly lit house number.

It's already bad enough that a 10$ sandwich gets marked up to damn near 25$ after all the feels

You dipshit, the food delivery services (not the driver) often take 30% of the total bill in fees from the restaurant. That's why it's *always* cheaper to order directly from the restaurant.

You don't get out much do you? You DoorDash, what above the average consumer of 15 times a month, don't you? Don't get so high next time, order in the app, and pick it up yourself. The savings are magical!

That is false and I’ve gotten the stare down numerous times for it.

I don’t mind it at all place where they’re customizing something for me like FreeBird’s, Subway, or an ice cream place.

The only time I door dash is if I’m traveling for work and I’ll get it for my wife at home.

Anyone that tips a DD driver less than $5 is a piece of shite. You want someone to use their time, gas, and vehicle wear to bring your fat arse a burger, but don't want to tip them a reasonable amount?

Wait. The average DoorDash customer does it 15x per month?

What I find more annoying than tipping are the endless customer services surveys you get after transacting with a business.

I don’t get delivery often but when I do it’s from a place within a couple miles and I tip like $10. If you do that you’ll get your food fast and without issue. I’ve never had an issue and I’ve ordered somewhere between 50 to 100 deliveries in my life

Never have food delivered by a stranger. Go pick it up yourself.

Also, I don't particularly like prepaying for food to pick up because if your tip isn't "big enough", who knows how they handle your food.

A $2 tip is embarrassing and uncalled for.

I agree that tipping culture is out of control but a $2 tip on door dash is not only insulting its dumb. Do you really want to eat food thats been riding around in a car with someone youve pissed off with a small tip? I dont.

Exactly! Shitty tippers makes it worse for everyone. When they can expect shitty or no tips, then the types of drivers you get are foreigners and druggies that don't give a frick. The more of these there are, the less room there is for good drivers.
