Exactly this for me as well. I make quite a bit more than her now but I would love for her to make as much as or more than me. Would be a great additional level of comfort.

Hypergamy. It’s a thing. Evolutionary biology says so. Stay on your toes , lesser—earning—baws.

Yes she does, and I am perfectly fine with it, glad that I am dating someone who can support herself.

She makes about what I do.

What she earns doesn't matter to me at all, its that I am not dependent on her money that matters to me.

She doesn't make more but she inherited quite a bit. Her Great Grandfather founded the bank that is now Bancorpsouth. I'm fine with it.

I'm not sure our relationship would work as well if she did. She's even said as much.

That she has said so would make me worry unless I had a prenup. She's basically indicated she's only with you for the money.

She's a teacher so if you convert her salary to an hourly rate she makes more per hour of work than I do. She actually does pretty damn good. I wish she made a lot more. The more the better.

I don't think I could be married to a woman who wasn't successful.

She did until recently. Made me feel happy because don't matter who makes it, it all spends the same.

No, it's a more traditional lens. Women are attracted to status and success in men. She's a very traditional woman, in that she raises kids and pours into the home. She has no interest/desire in being a "boss bitch."

We have our roles, and it works. We were both broke AF when we got together, and we've been successful as a unit. Kinda like our grandparents did.

She does. I don't care since it all goes towards the same things.

With bonus yeah but not for long. I took a paycut to work less hours.

Doesn’t bother me at all.

We're equal but reallydamn close. But the kicker us she works and I don't.

My real estate income plus military retirement makes a good income for a retiree. Plus I run some cattle for a hobby, freezer meat and tax write offs.
