Yes

Makes me feel great. Nice to know when I finally hit my break point at my job soon, nothing significant will change in our daily life (I would of course find something else eventually). I’m very proud of her accomplishments as well. I also do very well, she just does amazing.

Why wouldn’t you want more money in your household?

I also don’t feel like less — in generally, the world is your oyster right now if you’re a competent, hardworking, and attractive woman.

ETA: But I'd have absolutely no problem if she did. That would be awesome

Hopefully she does soon. I see no problem with it. Only helps with security for our family and helps save more so that our son is in a better position in the future.

I married up, really high up.

Over our 20 year marriage, we bounced back and forth for the lead and technically I am leader for total years. She passed me for good about 4 years ago though. I will never make more than her in our current trajectories.

I am 100% complete cool with it and proud of her. She busted her butt to get to where she is now.

She used to but then I got some nice bumps from a promotion, restructuring, etc.

She can make more than I do if she works enough OT though (I don't have the OT option).

fricking awesome! We're a team and knowing that we can each have each other's financial back in a crisis is a solid comfort.

She will be in a year from now when she finishes her Master's degree and starts an NP job. Can't fricking wait

My wife started her NP job about 8 months ago. Her base salary is roughly 35% more than mine and her bonus was about 40% of my salary. . . And I don't have a terrible salary either.

I made more than she did all through school and supported her happily the whole time. Life has been good for the last 5 or 6 years and have been incredibly awesome since she started her current job.

Wife is a doc. She did for a couple years.

I passed her up. She recently pulled her shifts back too.

It’s certainly a problem if they do

No but she’s always providing coaching and common sense stuff - I can be rather abrupt

One GF that I am positive about.. I knew the company where she worked and their pay levels.. She was talking about her bills and her mortgage and I did the mindcalculations.gif... She was living way beyond her means. I was paying for all outings and dinners... But I was PIIHB.. so that was a trade off... After we broke up she got laid off and was in a bad way... But was able to sell her condo with a very very small profit.

Hey nothing wrong with that. If she makes enough to provide for a family in this economy then kudos.

If I were a stay at home dad, I’d be knocking out so many home improvement projects while the kids were either napping or at school. I mean so much. My lawn would look like Augusta. My fence would be pristine stained. Trees and hedges on point. You name it.
