Yep. But then they got him. He didn't completely disappear.
D.B. Cooper is who you need to be talking about. Or the guys that got off of Alcatraz Island. Of course, all those guys probably disappeared because they were soon extremely dead, but that's neither here nor there.

Facial recognition software dude. Maybe it’s not as prevalent now, but in 10 years that will be the standard. They don’t need people individually looking at each and every monitor.

Maybe. I would have as good of a shot as anyone. If the two days is a head start. If I have to escape a drag net probably not because very few could.

If you are self sufficient it’s possible. You have to be able to build your own home, create your own medicine, grow/hunt food, make your own clothes, basically live like it’s the 1700s. Any kind of purchase or appearance in public could be potentially tracked. You would have to live away from civilization.

There’s a lot of people who can/are/have disappeared without a trace. This country is fricking huge. You could easily lay low up in the mountains somewhere and pay cash for everything or just change your appearance and get a new identity. It’s not hard for an intelligent person, the problem is most people who try to disappear are dumb as shite. Whitey Bulger,Jason Brown, Robert Fisher, William Bishop, William Jordan, Lawrence Fishman Frank Matthews all continue to do it minus Bulger who did it for a damn long time

I was in China last summer - instead of screens to show terminals and departures/arrivals you simply look at any of the advertising screens and it pops up with your name, destination, gate, departure time etc.
This is just what they allow for public use.
The US (And every developed country) already has facial recognition cameras all across the country.
