We won't now anything this week. Pay attention next week though. If we see another drop in cases like we're seeing right now, I suspect they'll loosen things up a bit. If we see a slight increase you might as well say bye bye to May too.

eta: One thing to keep in mind is a lot of places ran out of tests last week.

this is my worry

we have 2 weeks of decline then like 3 days of slight increase and everyone freaks out again and we get extended for another 2 weeks

The one positive that has come out of all of this; I have been purging my friends list. Way too many people with too much time on their hands who need to calm the frick down.

People were saying that this week.

Truly believe some people never want a return to normal. They want their government checks to keep coming and protection from paying their bills.

Yes. If the trend continues getting better in NOLA, we need to keep up the pressure. It's no time to let up.

If by April 30 the numbers are even better, he probably won't extend it. He may keep up the school closing and other certain closings a bit longer.

People need to just start ignoring his stay at home order.

They want to see 2 consecutive weeks of lower cases.

nobody expects schools or large festivals, concerts, etc to be back anytime this summer

we just want businesses to be able to open back up

Every day he keeps insisting we’re gonna run out of ventilators next week. We haven’t. Then, he changes it to “next week”.

Saw a facebook friend, make a post in all caps telling JBE to do his job, meaning stricter quarantines and a longer lockdown (this person lives in Virginia and is a very right wing conservative, which is confusing that she wants more things taken away). Typed out a long response, but just deleted said person as a friend.

Point is, that its scary that some people are advocating for things like that

Almost as scary as having to delete people as friends who don't agree with you.

I heard he's already reviewing his book and movie deal proposals. JBE is an American hero.

No way. Every move of his has been preceeded by another Governor.

La economy is fricked without corona, so it really doesn't matter. He needs federal dollars to float the budget for next year.

No doubt about it. He’s more likely to try to find a reason to push it into May than to end it early.
