We can lose and drop a spot and stay in the playoff if the favorites win. And we should’ve never been behind ND but we were so the committee is clearly fine having us behind ND and not Miami.
We’d either stay at 9 or drop to 10. ACC and G5s are filling out 11 and 12. So likely we’dbe at OU or A&M. Probably A&M because the committee would fix it that there aren’t rematches of OU-Bama and A&M-ND.
We took advantage the first time. Georgia’s pass rush has shown some signs of life in the last few weeks.

Bama didnt even give lane a call 2 years ago when he wanted the job. He burned bridges there when he left

There and everywhere else he’s ever been. Hopefully the next few years are worth it for LSU before the inevitable bomb goes off.

Maybe.

Kiffin says "Peace out!" to LSU

DeBoer is not going anywhere. Let’s live in fantasy land for a moment though… Alabama knows enough about Kiffin from his time there that they didn’t even give him a phone call two years ago. Nothing changed since then except that he lit his most recent employer on fire.

We are getting a bye if we win and we desperately need it to get as healthy as possible.

They need to hire Dabo. He'll have no choice but to embrace the portal because it's all he'll have.

Penn St needs to do what?

Very surprised Hartline couldn't get a bigger job than USF

USF might be the best job in the G5. If Hartline is a good head coach he won’t be there long.
They had four players committed last I saw last night. Signing day is today. If nobody wanted the job before they definitely don’t want it now.

I just figured ATL was easy trip for both teams- especially UGA.

Fans would rather save money for a playoff game (or 2-3 playoff games). We’ve seen our fair share of Alabama-Georgia in that stadium

Also a street name in New Orleans.

Ole Miss has a lower ceiling due to reliance on the portal every year

That’s cute that you think that’s an Ole Miss thing and not just the way that Lane Kiffin likes to do things. If you think you are hiring somebody who wants to bust it recruiting high schoolers then you are in for a real surprise.
He gets bored very easily. He’ll go somewhere, I’m sure the NFL will call if he has the success you expect.
LSU fans will have fun for 3-4 years and then they’ll dislike Lane the same way every fan base he’s ever left/been fired from, with the exception I guess of FAU, does. He’s good for a while but guaranteed to leave a sour taste anywhere he goes.
Lane Kiffin is a lot of things but “safe” in so many ways is not one of them.

Jesus. DeBoer will 100% be at Alabama next season.
Whoever they hire is still coaching games with his current team. It’s not weird at all. They’ll announce a new hire early next week like most everybody else.
Auburn was always going to screw this up as long as some of their powerful boosters wanted Durkin. Those people would never hesitate to sabotage and undermine other candidates before or after they accepted the job just to prove they were right and their guy should’ve gotten the gig. Way too many people think they are important there, a tale as old as time.

would be classic Kiffin to lose a game he shouldn't in a million years

Yea they had the most talented team they’ve ever had last year and they lost to Kentucky in Oxford. They can absolutely lose this game, although it seems unlikely with State’s run defense.

Congrats on being literally the last person to find out that Lane Kiffin refuses to recruit high schoolers.

A coach doesnt have to rely on mercenary, expensive portal players here

Lane likes the portal players though. He’s not interested in busting his arse recruiting high schoolers. Something I’m surprised hasn’t been brought up more in all of this.
