I cooked breakfast for both my wife and mother. Flowers for each, too. Can't lose.

We all agree it’s a bullshite made-up holiday and it doesn’t stress anyone out.

neither my wife, nor my mom, nor my mother-in-law are cunts. So, it was a great weekend with all 3.

I don’t agree. V day is generally a couples date night.
Mother’s Day is a big family deal for lunch time with a large group. A lot of extended family goes out to eat who don’t go out often and they don’t know how to order and the service gets screwed up dealing with it all.

We all went to lunch together. My Mom is not a monster-in-law so she is happy just to have the family together for a bit.

What? I would never be with someone who tells me who I can or can not see. She doesn't have to like her, she doesn't have to go see her, but sure as shite isn't going to tell me I can't see my own mom. And if she has a problem with it, that's on her.

Your wife would have to be a total selfish bitch to have an issue with you seeing your mother.

Yep.
I feel horrible for some of these guys who chose women to marry based on what their dick thought and not their brain.Stupid families and horrible relationships that affect everyone makes me sad.

Yup. The most important decision you will ever make is who you marry.

It’s kind of funny to me that between Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day that women are so uncompromising about, they fail to see that every day is their damn day and just about every fricking thing a married man with children does is for her.

For those that live near their Mom and have kids, do you spend time with your Mom any on Mother’s Day? Or do you spend all your time making the day nice for the mother of your kids?
No, cooked for moms and wives all day, though. We're doing it Tuesday because my son cooks at our place, so he also works the same holidays. Plus, our daughter’s in Washington state. We were a military family, originally, so we’re cool with celebrating whenever.

After Easter lunch, Mom told me she didn’t want to do anything for Mother’s Day. I’m lucky enough to see Mom & Dad several days a week since my daughter walks to their house from school almost every day. They got new patio furniture that my brother and I chipped in on for Mother’s Day/Father’s Day, so no gifts needed delivering. I made brunch for my wife and children and drank champagne and wine for the rest of the afternoon. Damn good day all around.

My wife did nothing but lay on the couch all day and complained when I started doing the dishes "you know this is my day to relax". Well yea, that's why I was doing the dishes but I guess it was because I was making noise. My brother and I were going to take my mom out to dinner just the 2 of us and my mom, but I guess he forgot the part of just the 2 of us in the text thread, so his wife and daughter show up with a bewildered look on their face when my wife and daughter were not there.

Usually we have a family brunch but my wife hates sharing the day with my mom, so like most men here, i'm stuck to make a decision. Yes, my mom has had all her mothers days already with my brother and I but at the same time, she only has so many left. My wife on the other hand has a lot more left than my mom, so I am not going to not be with my mom on the day.

I sent my wife out for a day to do whatever she wanted and invited my mother over to hang out with the kiddos.
