No, not really. I grew up in NOLA in a different era.

Remember when I was 12. Would drive the family Chevy to Boy Scouts on Friday nights. Afterward, a few of us would walk around the corner from Wilson Elementary to the neighborhood bar. Would make a great black & white photo today; half a dozen little scouts in their uniforms, sitting at the bar, slamming Dixies.

Mine was super similar! It was the summer I took 3 classes and worked part time as an intern. Stopped at Walmart on the way home from work and bought a bottle of wine and a bag of cat food. Cashier looked at me like I had two heads.

I turned 21 at midnight... like everyone does... but my underage friends and I went to a 24-hour WalmarKX and bought a shitload of beer, liquor, and Boone’s Farm. I cracked open the Boone’s in the back seat, and somehow a fricking cop saw me drinking this. After being pulled over, he let us go because the driver (my brother) was of legal age to be out past curfew. Good thing he didn’t check the trunk! I was also wearing an nWo championship belt, haha. We got so fricked up that night. Good times!

Draft Coors Light at a Birmingham Barons game (it was a Sunday). Rollie Fingers was there to judge the Just for Men facial hair contest. He autographed the cup and I told him why. Still have the cup.

Maybe the most star struck I’ve ever been prior to meeting Ralph Stanley.

At a booth in LenLou's Bar on Highway 45 below West Point MS. Had a pitcher of Schlitz beer. Slapped my Driver's license on the table and the waitress didn't even look at it, just went and got the 4 pitchers of beer and the Pork BBQs we ordered. In those days, Schlitz was a pretty good beer.

after lunch July 27, 1971, 18th birthday, bought a single miller (probably) at the 7-11 on cypress in West Monroe down from WMHS. had been buying drafts over the counter at the chauvin lounge by Ditco on 165 since i was 15. Gary King turned 19 the same day and had never consumed alcohol, so we both had a beer.

Bottle of Jim Beam from Little Leslies in Boutte in 1965. Maturity requirement at the time was 4 foot ten inches. If you could put your money on the bar you were good to go

It was 2010. Lol. Also I don’t believe they served alcohol. It was a dance club. Texas club down the street was the Long Island ice tea spot

Birthday is 2nd week of December. Was always finals week in college. Went out on a Tuesday for $2 24oz drafts. Was gonna have a "few". Woke up 30 minutes late for an International Business final, walked in and basically scrambled to get all of the answers in within 30 minutes. All my buddies were in there laughing their arse off. Good times. No care in the world.

Mine was a Bud Light at Fleur Di Lis. It was a huge ordeal because they thought my ID was fake just because it was from Montana. I was like let's chill out folks its my 21st bday and I just am ordering a mini Bud Light. That place sucks.

Bottle of Jose Cuervo. I have no idea why because I’m not a huge tequila person.
