I was working a 2nd shift job at the time. I got off at midnight and stopped by a gas station on the way home. Bought a half case of Bud Light.

Probably some Bud Lite and Mad Dog 20/20 from Jimbo’s when I was in high school.

Two 12 packs. One of Schlitz (the beer in gold cans, not the malt liquor). One of Old Milwaukee red cans. That’s what I remembered my Pawpaw and family drinking as a little boy, and I wanted in.

I think the next one was Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, because I had that up in North Carolina prior to turning 21, and that beer (more than Abita), popped my craft beer cherry. Abita Amber tried first, but Sierra Nevada stole my heart.
