Being comfortable alone is something to strive for. Staying comfortable alone is not

Wife and i are perfectly matched in that we like to be alone. We moved to the boonies for that very reason. People ask if we mind living among the snakes and gators.

We feel that snakes and gators are more preferable than people nowadays and make better neighbors.

Being alone never bothered me. I always thought those people that couldn't stand to be alone were that way because they hated themselves. Being alone gave them time to think about what miserable people they were. They were willing to date, and be friends with, other terrible people, so they didn't have to be alone, and face themselves.

Whenever my wife goes out shopping and drives up my Nordstrom bill, it allows me for some tranquility at home. I immensely enjoy the peace and quiet of being able to have some alone time and relax in front of the T.V. on an early Saturday afternoon.

I have been confined to my house for medical reasons and when my wife and kids are gone during the day it drives me nuts.

I love being alone. When Mr. CT worked offshore and would be gone for a month at a time, I was in heaven. I could work in my yard all day and not have to worry about cooking.
I have always felt peace in solitude.

And no, no Jody. Why would anyone want another dude around when you just got rid of one?

I enjoy being alone, or at least just the wife and I---and once she starts talking while I'm watching a football game or boxing match, I'd rather be alone.

For some reason, my wife can be alone in the bedroom watching a movie and never say a word, but once she sits next to me on the sofa, it like she can't help herself and starts blabbering about the movie, football game or whatever I'm trying to watch on TV.

Drives me nuts.

I love being alone, but can't say I prefer it. Though it really depends on the activity.

I do somehow end up watching a lot of football alone. Wife and daughter don't really care for football, and son is usually off doing stuff with friends. I probably prefer having a small crowd though.

When I watch football I like to be alone. And I don't like to be around a lot of people for too long. Im good with just a few people most of the time and alone sometimes including watching football.

Same. Love going to parties for big games. Watching at home alone is boring

For a huge game like Saturday I prefer to watch with just a couple other people. Otherwise I usually watch it at bars or parties.
