Cold is enjoyable, snow is not.

If my house would handle cold well, I'd want it to be below freezing out every day. Unfortunatley my house is raised and my plumbing is exposed so when it is below freezing, I'm doing some major pipe dripping and usually up and about twice a night making sure they're all still dripping. It sucks.

I grew up in the Deep South but recently moved to the Midwest and actually enjoy winter but I find I'm in the vast minority.

I'd much prefer a good 25° day with three inches of snow to 12 hours of 100° heat index and an afternoon thunderstorm.

Wearing a jacket beats swamp arse any day.

Even withering heat is better to me than cold. I'm just not built for it.

Hot, I can stay outside all day when it’s in the 90’s.

I'm more of a moderate both politically and climatologically.

Neither hot nor cold

72 degrees is best generally

I can withstand temperature extremes but will generally not cope well in extreme cold.

I can cool off easier than I can heat up

Southern winters are overrated.

Overcast, wet, but no snow so it isn't pretty, bare trees.

October is the best month to visit SC in my opinion based on the weather.

People in the south like to say cold but we think of 40 degrees. Not 10 below with a 30 MPH wind in your face.

The key to winter is having gear to enjoy it. Skiing, snowmachine, ice fishing, etc. Shopping for touring skis as we speak.

I'd prefer the cold, especially for hunting. No bugs or snakes when its cold. I can always layer up to stay warm.

For fishing or just relaxing on the patio, temps this week are about as perfect as it gets

Cold.

You can keep putting layers on and become comfortable and warm.

You can strip down to nothing and it’s still be as hot as satan’s scrotum.

If I had to choose between actual hot and cold, I choose hot. Actual cold weather sucks arse and forces you indoors.

The truth is LA gets pretty damn good weather 6 months a year where the highs range from high 60s to low 80s.

Cold is definitely the answer here, but a dry cold is FAR preferable than a wet cold. I never understood the difference until I spent some time in Utah. It was 20 something degrees and we were skiing in ski pants and a t-shirt.

I love the initial change from one to the other more than anything. I get tired of the heat and the cold after a month or so, though.
