Where in the Midwest did you move?

I moved to Wisconsin last year and as someone else alluded to, I totally didn't mind when it was January and 4 degrees outside. However, when it was May and every morning was still in the low 30s and midday was in the 40s and rainy/muddy, I was sick of it. When the sun finally came out and we consistently got up into the 50s by late May it was like that feeling you get when you're coming out the other side of a bad trip.

20 is much more comfortable than 90 to me.

A Florida summer is every bit as miserable (if not more) than an Ohio winter.

I like both, really. Hot summers mean BBQs, trips to the beach, swimming pools, cold beer and bikinis. Winter means BBQs, fire pits, straight whiskey, cigars and cozying up to the wife in a warm bed. However, I could not endure a midwest winter. My wife has a cousin that lives in Illinois. What they describe sounds miserable.

I hate this fricking saying. I don’t want to have to put on a bunch of layers of clothing just to take out the trash, go to the car and wait for it to heat up, etc. cold weather always leads to either having too many layers on to wear you feel clammy/sweaty as soon as you go inside a building, or not having enough on because you don’t feel like going to the grocery store dressed like an Eskimo.

Not to mention you have to run the heater in the house which pulls all of the moisture out of the air and dries my sinuses up and makes my skin itchy. Cold weather sucks arse.

Cold, but not life-threatening cold.

I can always put on more clothes. I can only take off so much in the Summer before I would no longer be able to live near a school.

If you have to put on multiple layers of clothing to walk 100 feet to the trash can, that's on you. If I'm going to be outside for two minutes and it's 20 degrees outside, I'm not even putting on a sweater. I'll deal with it and take the trash out in a t-shirt.

Hot weather without question. With the caveat that by the end of September the constant unrelenting monotony of 90 plus days does wear thin.

Anything under 50 is inhumane

I don't like extreme weather on either end. I can live in a climate that stays between 30-85 year round and be just fine, maybe with a few really cold or hot days thrown in.

General preference is warmer weather though.

Well you’re obviously a bad arse, but it proves my point. In cold weather you’re either going to be under dressed or over dressed, both are uncomfortable.

What range of hot vs cold? Are we talking Duluth winter vs Jacksonville Summer....if so, i ll take v the most 93 of Jax and its humidity over the negative temps in MN. Or is cold 45 degrees. But overall I definitely prefer the heat of a coastal southern city like Jax. Breeze tstorm and a couple of weeks of stifling heat vs. Months of highs in the teens. Sure you can bundle up...but only to walk like you are Jerry Nadler trying to exit stage left

No man, you can always add more layers. It’s THAT simple!

68-72 high with low humidity and a low of 45-50.
That's most of summer here. You pay for it with overcast winters but at least it doesn't usually get that cold.

I'm far from a badass. My point was if you live in the Midwest, you get used to it enough to deal with 20 degrees in a t-shirt for a few minutes.

I personally think 45-65 is the most comfortable range to be outside.

I'm going to be honest, I'm usually a Spring/Summer kind of person... but this year I'm really looking forward to Fall/Winter for some reason. Bring on the cold.
