Do you drive aggressively / weave in and out of traffic etc? Do you think it saves time?

I notice the same cars driving like idiots every morning. Flying up on people's bumper, changing lanes back and forth ,cutting people off etc. I always see them turn off just shortly ahead of me. What is the point? Your are endangering yourself and others and how much time are you actually saving? Ten seconds? Thirty seconds?

STFU and get out of the passing lane.

Only when I'm full of meth and tequila.

Does it matter how fast you get to a red light if it's still red when you get there?

A couple years ago I was driving into Dallas on I-35 (with all that f'ing construction), and this guy just swerves from the on-ramp to the middle lane without slowing down or looking for other cars. He nearly swerved right into the car in front of me.
It was scary af.
People who drive like this should have their licenses revoked.

we spent an entire day in Driver's Ed when i was 16 going over all the different scenarios and working out how much time you'd save.
Speeding, weaving, tailgating, etc... over a multitude of times an distances.
You could never save more than about 3-5 minutes unless you were traveling more than a hundred miles.

Not really. However I do drive assertively and I'm not a left lane dick. I get out of the way of faster moving traffic. I don't drive in the left lane at the same speed as right lane traffic and cause traffic jams. Those people are more horrible than the super aggressive drivers that weave in and out of traffic.

If you ain't first, you're last.

The only time I’m forced to change lanes and move around in traffic is when people don’t get up to speed when getting on the interstate and frick everything up, jump right in front of me into the lane I’m driving, going 10 under the speed limit, or basically just have no place to be and joy riding on the interstate 10 to 20 mph under what everyone else is driving, thus creating a potential accident by doing so. IOW... all fricking day long in the shtick.
And if you don’t understand this, you don’t drive this fricking city like I do all day long. Worst numb skull drivers ever, bar none, and I’ve lived places.

Beat the GPS by 12 minutes every morning on a 45 mile drive while posting to tigerdroppings.

Yep. These people will fly up on your bumper and ride your arse when the light is red ahead.

When I first started my job with a long commute I was tracking my drive times every day to figured out what factors had the most effect on total trip time.
How fast/aggressively I drove had almost no impact. The only way it was a factor was if I drove extremely fast with no traffic. What had the biggest impact on average trip speed was the time, route, and how many red lights I caught after getting off the interstate. Time I left my house was by far the strongest influence.

The people doing 30 in the left lane of a 40 deserve people to ride their asses. Sometimes you just need to pass them on the right then move back quickly over to the left, I guess it's considered weaving if you've got a dipshit in front of you. I'll bet you come to a complete stop when making a right turn too

Every morning, turn on Dragonforce, get on the PGBT, yell at figs who drive 70 in the left lane, and get from North Dallas to Las Colinas in 15 min or less

The ones that do will tell you that you are the one being unsafe by cruising in the left lane.

Same with the people who have to stomp the pedal in their 2006 Mustang to go from one red light to the next 50 yards away.

I bet you fly up on people's arse when they are going with the speed of the traffic.
