I drive aggressively but usually not a-hole aggressive.
Sometimes further down the road I notice I ended up only slightly ahead of cars I passed, sometimes I never see them again after I pass. Sometimes I don't pass and the stupid driver ends up jamming me up later (like at stoplights or something).
So I'd rather pass and be in front and in control rather than take my chances that some other idiot driver is going to drive well even if it means I didn't actually end up getting to point B that much faster.

When I’m in the z06 or GT350 I do...while on the interstate. If idiots would stay out of the left lane if they’re driving the speed limit I wouldn’t have to.

Yup. Morons. The increased risk is tenfold compared to any real or perceived time savings. You are literally shaving off seconds or even fractions of a second even over longer journeys, with an immense increase in risk of an accident and stress.
I preach the same thing to my wife about speeding. If you have a 25 mile trip and you go 80 instead of 70 you only shave 2 minutes and 40 seconds off your trip. Is that really worth risking a $300 speeding ticket and a monthly increase in your insurance premiums over?
Speed limit. Cruise control. Set and forget. Enjoy the ride.

I often times take purposefully circuitous routes to avoid traffic and redlights/stop signs even sometimes giving up some arrival time in exchange for not having to deal with the wear and tear on my vehicle, MPG hit and frustration from repeated stop and go driving.

Oh, believe me. I stay 5 over speed limit and dont get in the left lane unless Im passing and even then I only do it if the car in front of me in the right lane is going 2 or more MPH under the speed limit so that I dont take too long passing on the left.
I know how to drive. I drive the Causeway all the time.

To be fair, there are some on-ramps, especially older ones, that are really tight and arent conducive to acceleration to 70 but for most, if you arent at the speed limit by the time you merge youre doing it wrong and need to take driving classes.

Honestly, the hum drum, hokey pokey, mosying slow drivers irritate me far more than the aggressive ones. Aggressive drivers are usually (unless it’s a teenage girl) paying attention and know where they are going.
It’s the slow drivers with apparently nowhere to be who are always on the phone, changing radio stations, eating, talking, whistling with their elbows out the window, and changing lanes without looking or signaling.
After reading so many similar threads, I am convinced that the average driver on TD is the type to accelerate slowly, drive 5 mph under the speed limit, and then run redlights, leaving everyone behind them stuck for 2 minutes.

The only time I do it is when some dickwad is keeping the same pace in the left lane as the car in the right lane and fricking up traffic for everyone.
Our traffic lights are motion based. So when this shite happens the lights all change because of the huge gap between cars that ends up forming. So then our merry little group hits every...fricking...redlight because of said dickwad.
ETA: My commute can be as short as seven minutes...and as long as 25 because of this. If I get lucky and get a good group of drivers, I'll hit maybe one or two lights.
I get stuck behind Joe Dickwad cruising in the left lane, driving 5mph under the speed limit, and not using his gas pedal.....20-25 minutes.
