I seem to always see these people one or two vehicles ahead of me at the next traffic light. Driving like that is stupid, and doesn't save much time at all, especially in the city.

Uhh the left lane is for passing. If I'm going the speed limit and there's slow cars in the right lane then yeah, I'll be in the left lane. The problem is when those slow cars are now in the left lane and refuse to move over. Am i not justified to pass them on the right then move back over?

The people doing 30 in the left lane of a 40 deserve people to ride their asses. Sometimes you just need to pass them on the right then move back quickly over to the left, I guess it's considered weaving if you've got a dip shite in front of you. I think about these people's state of mind. The assholes that drive like this have to have blood pressure through the roof and a generally miserable disposition in day to day life.

I live in Avoyelles Parish where I think time actually slows down. The amount of drag asses and old people on the road is road rage worthy. So, yes. I pretend I'm Dale Earnhardt quite often! I think its hilarious when I pass someone and they look all mad. I try not to endanger anyone though......

Well, cruising in the left lane isn't legal for a reason, so they aren't exactly wrong. And let's not even bother trying to spin this into me saying driving aggressively by weaving through traffic is safe.
ETA: And to answer OP, that kind of driving only saves time if you make it through signalized intersections that a normal speed wouldn't have gotten you through, or if you have a 60+ mile commute. Most times, it just isn't worth it.

Move back over if there's another car to pass, otherwise just continue on in the right lane.

Pretty sure it is a fact that you hardly save any time driving aggressively. Like you might arrive at your destination seconds earlier than if you had driven more conservatively. It's just an everyday reminder of irrational people making the world more dangerous for the rest of us.

That's not what the guy is talking about. I agree that people misuse the left lane; however, he's talking about assholes weaving in and out lanes. We all see them every day. They are friggin' idiots.
