They’re shooting lights out right now

Weird how that always happens against LSU. It is almost like we don't defend very well.
If so, it is interesting that they are going with "drank booze in his office" to save everyone some embarrassment. I guess ADs are going to save these relatively minor things for if they are ever needed.

I don't think there's any reason to believe McMahon has that sort of skeleton in his closet. I hate him as coach, but he seems to be a good guy personally.
Tulane is really not very good this season. And they also lost their coach. It is going to be a bloodbath. The narrative will be that LK is not that great after all. And then Ole Miss will lose decisively in their second game.

 We've suffered through 4 seasons with this loser to get to where the buyout is just average.
McMahon absolutely doesn't have what it takes to succeed here. We've already seen LSU keep him 2 years longer than they should have when he has shown nothing whatsoever to suggest he'll turn anything around. You can hardly blame people for hoping he fails his way out of the job sooner rather than later.

Would be hilarious, but we had our chance to go after him and didn't take it.

I was a big fan since the Dale Brown years. After what Woodward did to the program, I'll check in for a few games a year like any sane person.

McCasland on his team for giving up a wide open 3 while on the verge of blowing us out. Stark contrast to McMahon.
I feel like threatening someone to be fired from Cinnabon is a miscalculation.
HUD. I definitely thought it was some marketing bullshite, but it is great being able to see speed and map directions without taking your eyes off the lunatics on the road.

I also like the speed limit sign reader.

being in St. George is a liability.

It's not that it is in St George so much as that it is not close to anything. If you have $1M to spend on a house, there are loads of nice houses available in the middle of the city. It is people with a $350k budget that see max value from living in the suburbs.
Kippling wisely declined the city of Slidell and LSU reduced his salary accordingly.

re: Do you want FSU in the SEC?

No. UNC and Virginia are the only ones that are worth taking. If we can't get both, just stick with what we have.

SEC is easily the strongest conference and in a position to take some speculative programs while the B1G needs tentpoles that just don't exist in the ACC anymore.

B1G really needs Notre Dame to be able to match the SEC.

a 10 pt road loss to a Bruce Pearl-less Auburn team

McMahon against Auburn:
49-67
78-93
74-87

But maybe this season we'll lose by only single digits!
It's all about conference politics. They are just retroactively justifying including mediocre Big 10 teams.
The reason to vote no is because it extends COA and Library taxes.

Sucks we're going have to wait until December to get a true litmus test.

UNO finished 343 in the NET last season. We were the worst SEC team at 88. We don't get anything from playing teams that are this awful.
Well, so far we've not heard anything legit. So I'd say that's one thing they are doing well. Unless they just aren't really doing anything at all yet.
