Of course not. I paid for a service and received it (education). I can't think of any other service (restaurant, grocery, Best Buy, car dealership, etc) where people continue to "donate" years afterward, for the privilege of a previous transaction?

What does that college do for me? They won't even e-mail official transcripts without more $$$.

F 'em.

Absolutely, via the entry fees to the alumni softball tournament and all the beer I drink that weekend

I refuse to give USC a dime currently until the entire administration is cleaned out.

I would be much more likely to donate to Georgetown where I went to grad school but I don't think they've ever contacted me for donations through any method which is kind of amazing. I get a call from USC at least twice a month.

I paid them what they charged to do their job. It’s ludicrous to think I should continue to send them money.
I learned a whole lot more from the companies I worked for and the people who ran them. And they paid me while I was learning. If I felt the need to give money to someone who promoted my future, it should be them, not a school.

Nope, I’m still pissed about that parking ticket they gave me for parking in the correct garage that I parked in every day including after that.

I make sure to return to sender any shite they send me.

Yes, I do. I donate to LSU every year.

I'm trying to help make LSU a better, more successful institution of higher learning, a leader in research, and a powerhouse in all the major sports. Every step that LSU takes in that direction makes me more proud to have attended and graduated from LSU.

It pains me to hear about LSU being in dire straights financially as much as I hate it when the Tigers lose a game. I want LSU to be the best in all phases--and not have to resort to begging to get the donations it needs to maintain a minimal level of competence.

I'm going to keep doing everything I can to help LSU move in the right direction.

It’s like tipping at Sonic. You already paid for what you ordered, why do I need to give you more when you’re not ever going to give me anything else?

It's clear the money they spent on their English department has been squandered.

I usually donate once or twice a year. Nothing big. But there have been times where the administration was allowing some things I didn't really care for to go on where I withheld my annual donation until said situations were resolved.

I know losing my small donation had no effect whatsoever, but it was the principle.

Nope. I rather give money to charities that take care of the homeless than to add to an already existing multi-million dollar endowment

I give to the Bulldog Club for athletic purposes. My son is a student at State, so they get tuition money. I might give a little to academics once he and my daughter(High School junior) graduate.

The first time I went to donate several years ago I asked very specific questions on how the donations would be used, and if I could specify what Departments or programs received the money.

I was told "I'm sorry, that's not possible sir."

I politely replied with "Then it's not possible for me to donate. Please remove me from any donation request lists."

I'm not funding some useless fricking admin's slush fund for pet social justice projects.
