UK has a multi billion dollar endowment. They don't need my money more than I do.

So like, only 10-15 schools should ever get donations?

My alma mater has a chief diversity officer that they pay $280,000 a year. I’m going to save my money for my kids.

I won’t give a dime to LSU with FKA there.

No. I worked for a fundraising aspect of LSU. The day before I graduated, I looked my name up and marked myself as deceased.

They got plenty of my money via tuition dollars. When it comes down to it, they don’t give AF about me. Why should I give AF about them?

Mine does as well. I'm a Life Member of the Texas Exes and a member of the LSU alumni association. I chose not to renew my TAF membership or give my usual yearly donation to the LSU Foundation until they clean house in Baton Rouge.

I was in the alumni association of my particular college at LSU. Sadly, they're too retarded to figure out how to mail, email, or call me when they want money or have meetings. I had to call on four different occasions to get put back on the list to get notifications. Because they couldn't figure it out and I got annoyed, they aren't getting my money anymore. It sucks, because I can see exactly what the money goes to (scholarships, school equipment, lab equipment, remote campus equipment). I feel bad doing it, but they won't call and ask, so IDGAF.

I'll give UNO Engineering money once they fix the fricking elevators. Until then, I'm spending it all on Applebee's gift certificates

Are you referring to LSU? The lazy river was funded by student fees that were voted on by the student body.

I was very fortunate to receive a full scholarship to SHSU. They took a chance on an older, non-traditional student. Because of this reason I give to them every year. I feel like I owe them something for what they did for me. That being said, had I paid for my school I may have had a completely different outlook on the subject.

That is bullshite.

A symbolic vote by less than 5% of the population does not create that lazy river waste of money.

They used that to justify it. They were going to build it no matter what happened.
