Do Louisianians get annoyed at how non-Louisianians consider Los Angeles to be LA?

Also, where exactly is LA considered to be Louisiana? I know that LA is considered to be Los Angeles in Florida. But is LA considered to be Los Angeles in states like Arkansas and Mississippi that border on Louisiana?

I do.
It's ridiculously inaccurate

Not from Louisiana but out of respect for the state I write L.A. for Los Angeles instead of LA.

I don't concern myself with people who are retarded enough to think that. I know it happens, but that's inconsequential to my life overall so I don't even give it a thought.

i dont consider anything outside of new orleans to be louisiana so no

Neither. It stands for Lower Alabama.

I don't mind if they say L.A. I don't mind if they say Elay (or El A, El Ay or some derivation).
When they type/write "LA" (no periods) and they mean Los Angeles, I just assume they're r-tarded.

Yes, I think about it every day...

It keeps me up at night, I can't stop thinking about it.

The first thing 98% of people think of when they hear L.A. is Los Angeles. That includes people in Louisiana. It's the second largest city in the US in LA county ALONE has double the population of the entire state of Louisiana. It's not offensive to someone from Louisiana. It just is what it is.

If someone says L A out loud everyone, including folks in Louisiana, know that means Los Angeles. It's when print journalists write LA instead of L.A. that ticks me off. I've even had some idiot on the phone try to confirm my address as "Baton Rouge, Los Angeles."

When speaking "LA" means Los Angles and nobody in Louisiana has a problem with that.
When writing, LA is Louisiana and L.A. is Los Angeles.
That said, my favorite LA is Lower Alabama and I hope to retire there before long.

Is this not the same as the USC argument?

Put LA on your letter and see if it goes to Los Angeles

Just like I thought it always should have been Louisiana Love instead of California Love
