Wife & I crossed back, yesterday from Nova Scotia.
When we got to the border, US Customs officer took our passports, asked "where are you from?"
We both answered "New Awlins"
the agent laughed, said "that definitely sounds right " waved us through

I lived in Los Angeles for over 10 years and I'm from New Orleans, i never called louisiana LA, it was always louisiana. LA is los angeles, no one say FL for Florida or MS for Mississippi. People who talk like that are f'n idiots and are the reason why people around the country think we are morons.
