Scouts used to be awesome. I was in during the 80s. Made Eagle. Had some great times. Now it's woke.

The hardcore merit-badge focused troops and the ones that encouraged mom participation are. There are more casual, fun oriented troops that arent like that though. Ofc most of those troops are being targeted with these changes

No, considering the only reason as I stated earlier in this topic is I am with this pack because I have a daughter. My pack feeds into the biggest girls troop in the council. Only Cub Scouts is mixed gender, Boy Scouts is single gender troops.
The UMC has a female pastor, girls in BSA doesn’t bother them. They dropped us because whatever UMC calls their parish level leadership made the decision to drop BSA, this group is based in Atlanta and is much more progressive. This caused a bunch of rural Georgia UMCs in the same “parish” to leave UMC. Our church didn’t want to leave UMC and never really got involved or really pushed BSA, so they dropped us, but said they were ok with us continuing to use the facility with new paperwork to define that relationship. So this was actually progressives dropping BSA.

Citizenship in Society Merit Badge
The three other citizenship merit badges - community, nation, and world, have long been required, so this adds to it.
Here is the rewquirements.

When Citizenship in the World became required, I wonder if people thought the Scouts were going to force everyone to become commies.
