Organizations turning their back on who they are is the reason for the lack of new members.

People long for a simpler time where it was a binary world of right and wrong.

Once the general population stops trying to relativize every single thing sanity will come back into style again.

So the maples formed a union

The future belongs to the "meek" and their progressive handlers who make all decisions for them. Our time is over, we're doing little but slowing down the coming poverty train.

Every scout troop will just sign that one off, or waive it outright

Do they have the "Little boy bootie hole" badge? Seems like they been working on that one for years now.

My grandpa, dad, my brother and me were all Eagle Scout’s. It was just kind of understood like going to college at LSU. Unfortunately, if I have sons they will not be on scouting. Which is unfortunate, However, the stuff they teach you in scouting like good morals, respect for people, and basic-higher level survival in the outdoors will be passed on. I can promise you that.

It was over before this, no one put their boys in anymore, membership had dwindled, that’s why girls were let in. Girls helped it survive longer. Parents didn’t send their boys to sustain the organization. I’m glad they let girls in, BSA is pretty much the only organization I could find where I could do outdoors things with my daughter. Girl Scouts won’t let dads do anything, it’s completely women led unlike Cub Scouts which let moms lead well before girls were let in. I stepped up and became a den leader and now assistant Cub master, I’ve got to do summer camp and all sorts of camp outs with my kid. As a leader I know you can skirt ways around these badges, troops will figure out how to get them and not be woke.

Our Cub Scout pack is thriving right now, we were down to around 10 kids during peak Covid, now we are in triple digits for our small area.

Org is coming out of bankruptcy on track, we addressed the sexual abuse including the org taking ownership of it and trying to develop the best possible protection we could from it ever happening again. This isn’t the Catholic Church where we didn’t just tryto make it disappear and hide the criminal somewhere else in the church.

Many many BSA troops are connected to Christian schools or churches, and they won’t like where BSA is going - if they even made it past the girls being included. BSA has Christian roots so it’s a really sad affair that they’ve become so political.

We are getting hit from both ends by charter orgs, the super conservative ones are dropping troops because we aren’t right wing enough and letting girls in and such, the progressive ones are doing it because we aren’t woke enough. Our UMC dropped us this year and now we self charter still using their facility.
