Disney World is way more of a Demeaning and Dehumanizing Experience Today

As opposed to even 5 years ago.
Sure, it’s always kinda sucked in this regard but, being here now, there’s not enough workers - the food is twice as expensive as a few years ago and the ride scheduling sucks
It’s cattle food, cattle lines, cattle rooms on and on
TLDR; wanna be treating like worthless shite and just another number? Go to Disney. The magic is gone.

Thanos was right.

Yes Walt Disney would not be pleased.

And yet people will still line up to pay their outrageous prices and entrance fees, just like you are right now .. and nothing will ever change .

You have the other poster complaining about Mardi Gras. And now the OT can't even have fun at Disney World.
Some of y'all are wet blankets.

The downfall of the parks can be traced back to when they started setting times and roping off lines to see characters and stopped letting them walk around the park.

A lot of these CEOs are going to learn capitalism isn't just maximizing profit in the short term.

Thanos's only mistake was that he was not selective about who he snapped.

Man I saw through that place 20+ years ago. It's a total racket. I remember what my parents paid for tickets around 1994 and thought that was nuts.
If I ever want to take kids for that kind of entertainment we're going to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge (call me trashy all you want, I'm saving some serious coin).

That’s similar to the way I feel about flying now compared to when I was a kid flying. You were once treated like a VIP, and now, you’re just cattle. If you’re real lucky, maybe they throw you a bag of peanuts.

No. You're right. Chapek totally screwed everything up. I've been five times since covid and only the last two were really horrible. Lightning lanes is a huge mistake. Also failing to get any major project completed during Covid was another huge mistake.
Tron was been being built since 2017.
They need to put The Oriental Land company in charge of all parks. Tokyo Disney is Walt's last Disney. That lives by his design philosophy.

About a year or two ago when they started hiring people with visible tattoos, ubiquitous body piercings, and unnatural hair colors I told my wife it would go to shite within 2 years tops and here we are.
Yep...undoubtedly COVID helped with the progress of this initiative, like it did so many other shitty things in America, but it was going this direction long before COVID.

You are 100% correct. I know there's an OT divide on this topic, but we are/were Disney fans, with many friends and family that work for the company.
We enjoyed park visits when most "Disney" people were still terrified of covid, but that was short lived. Wait times ramped up fast due to lack of staffing, and it was miserable. Ordering food by app only and now the Genie plus crap settled it. My in-laws worked at Disney when it opened, and we go every year with them. I don't think I will go otherwise.
Prices are high, and the crowds are as high as ever. The amount of effort required to have fun is no longer worth it. Be sure to plan, plan, then plan some more! Get those reservations 60 days out? Staying offsite? Ha, you are fricked. Pack a sandwich. And be sure to wake up at 5am and stay past midnight!
The cost is absurd. We have SeaWorld, Legoland, and Six Flags season passes, which combined cost less per person for a YEAR than going to Disney for 1-2 days.
I took my kid last weekend to SeaWorld to ride the new coaster, and contemplated going to Universal for a day since it was just the 2 of us. Tickets $209+tax, and if you wanted Express Pass, it was another $219+tax per ticket. (more than the ticket!) It was $800 in the cart FOR ONE DAY. No thanks. You could purchase a couple season passes, I guess, but no express passes.

So maybe go elsewhere?

The day my wife (no pics) and teenage daughters (definitely no pics) tell me they are ready to go back to Disney, I'll tell them no problem. They can go to Disney and I'll take my share of the cost and go spend a week at a cabin in the Grand Tetons or something. Disney is a fricking chore, not a vacation.

Disney went to shite when they made the entire Main Street a big gift shop…
They took out the arcade, the old Magic Shop, and the old time picture place to sell cheap Disney products… At least they kept Casey’s Hot Dogs..

The FA was friendlier and you would get these surprising snacks. On the flip side, they were ashtrays on the arm rests.
