I'm just now reading more about it, I ignored the story when it came out... Arday wasn't just a poor confused mentally ill soul- he was awful and vindictive as hell. My sympathy for his position has waned. He was not a good man.

That doesn’t even include the slew of new stuff revealed in his memoir that released this week.
It looks like the guy was never even required to defend his dissertation, and it was rubber stamped.There’s even a typo in his title…along with 331 other instances of incorrect plural noun usage.

Don't think conscience had much to do with it. I think it's clear the guy was deeply mentally "off" but people were too busy trying to use him as a poster child for the DEI clown car rather than actually help him. He was a prop to them.

Does anyone but me suspect there are a good number of characters out there who are rubber stamped by these esteemed woke institutions all along the way
As for me I just assume anyone who is a minority or female in a position of power in any field was passed along at some point because they didn't have what it takes.
Give me the old white guy who didn't get any breaks - who we can be sure actually earned every bit of his credentials.
