Did FedEx in Baton Rouge give up even trying?

Their service has been comically bad recently.

I had a package due to come in last Thursday. It left Olive Branch MS at 6:39 PM last Wednesday, was "In Transit" until yesterday, and is now showing on it's way back to MS. No one at Fed Ex can tell me where it actually is or what is happening with it

Please bear with us as our heroes process this overwhelming amount of packages due to Covid. If we haven’t smashed your mailbox yet be assured that we will get to it as soon as humanly possible.

Out of an abundance of Caution we will throw your package to your door step from the street.
Same thing. My wife ordered shoes a couple weeks ago. The package has been in the state of Louisiana 3 different occasions, 3 different towns in completely different directions, as close as 30min away at one point, and has gone back out of state every time. I have no idea what's going on with FedEx, but they are royally fricking up.

I would like to add the United States Postal Service to the list. They have taken to destroying packages recently.
My mom got bought some sort of porcelain figurine on Ebay that fit into a medium sized Ebay box. It had Fragile written in bright red all over the box. It honestly looked like someone had jumped up and down on the box and then played football with it. The box was tattered and had two holes in it. Needless to say, the figurine was in several pieces, even though it looked to have been packaged well.
I don't think they give a shite, like most of America that works in the service industry.

They have huge issues with drivers and employees stealing hot items like ammo, PS5 consoles etc. The driver marks the package delivered so that the company shipping the item is covered. I had 1000 rds of ammo stolen that was "delivered" luckily I have ring camera's at my house and could prove the driver wasn't there when he said he delivered.

I've moved away from that FedEx location altogether and give my business to a newer shipping company called Pop Copy. They seem to go the extra mile for the customer.
Its not just Baton Rouge. I live in the Houston area and they are never on time. Lately I have even started selecting different vendors for the same product based on the fact they use Fedex.
They suck all over.

Covid delays
Storm delays
People don't want to work delays

Seems like it. Chewy is almost 2 weeks late, my first lite order has been sitting in baton rouge for 4 days, and another order had to be replaced last week. It's horrible.
ETA: there's an order that got marked "on fed ex vehicle for delivery" but it's saying it will deliver tomorrow.

There are still 10x better than USPS
The best is when FedEx is responsible for getting the package to the delivery city and USPS is on the hook for final delivery. Stand back and watch a monkey f*** a football.
