Had a package that was supposed to be delivered Monday and just got it. Looks like they threw it on my porch as it wasn’t even near the door or sidewalk. Wish you could opt out of having them delivery. USPS is way better at this point

Same here in Lafayette. Ordered stuff 2 weeks ago. Black hole tracking...stuck in MS for a week. Showed up today. Piss poor. Have the poor company who shipped about to send me a replacement package and I said hold up...tracking says it is out for delivery. Causing a domino effect on their bottom line.

took em 6 weeks to "deliver" a 3-day shipping package

Also had to wait in line at their facility on Coursey for 2 hours before they found my package

On top of sheitty delivery the best is when they say they tried to deliver a package but could not because you weren't home. This has happen to me several times. I know damn well I was home during the delivery period in question and a few of those didn't even require a signature. WTF?!?!?!

This happened to me the other day.. Well he wasn't in the street, but he was about halfway from the street to my front door and that sucka leaned forward and just sort of tossed the box. It wasn't anything breakable, but he might have saved 4 seconds. To me that's just being a shitty delivery person.

I had to cancel my home delivery meal kit company yesterday because for three deliveries in a row my food arrived 7 days after it shipped. Each time I opened a box it was rancid and spoiled. I contacted the company and told them why I was canceling. I got the impression they're hearing it a lot lately.

FedEx is hurting all over.

Around 2019 Amazon cut their deal with FedEx to do their own thing. Prior to that FedEx was their primary carrier. That suddenly loss scared the shite out of FedEx and they were getting ready to start shrinking staff as their business dwindled.

As they came out of Christmas they let go of their seasonal people, sent back the rented vans they had been using to compensate for the Christmas rush and began looking at a future with fewer employees.

Then COVID hit and everyone was shopping online. Hey, good news right? That should mean they just keep on trucking and maybe even hire some extra folks, right?

Wrong. They were gunshy from the Amazon episode so they were slow to expand, they didn't know if this higher probability for folks to shop online would continue so they dragged their feet (and still are in many parts of the company).

So while their business not only did not decrease, it increased. They began running even their part-timers, people who weren't supposed to work more than 20 hours per week, 50+ hours to get packages out. The problem was that Memphis was still scared to expand their driver base AND it's apparently more difficult than one would think to find responsible and reliable drivers to start at ~$17/hr so they have been running lean for a while (and doing so is starting to cause attrition).

***This is just for the Express side. From what I understand Ground is a different aspect of the company and I don't know much about that part.

Fedex is a unique model where the actual routes to your door is handled by a 3rd party private contractor that "owns" the routes... check this info out:

Why Are There So Many FedEx Routes for Sale?

FedEx left a large, $500 package on top of our rural mailbox yesterday IN THE RAIN! Around the same time, the Amazon driver went down our 1/4 mile driveway, placed a $10 Prime order under the carport, took a picture, and I received an email delivery alert.

I read about a driver shortage as well., Which is supposedly why stores are not always stocked with the amount of items as they normally have..

What is the reason for less drivers? That's one job where someone is by themselves and don't really come in contact with many people so what has caused people to want to stop driving?

Honestly that would be a big improvement in place of a package DB Coopering itself mysteriously half way in transit.

They are pure shite. Had a package from amazon that was supposed to be here on 9/22 with 2 day shipping. It's been sitting in Atlanta for 10 days at Fedex. Amazon just marked it lost and refunded me.

At least the packages are making it to you. FedEx seems to be losing packages at their BR facility and maybe 5 days later it shows up all banged up.
