Man, this seems like a stupid statement. According to the affidavit, Casen told police that they drove around looking for her house and dropped her off in a subdivision.
Now the lawyer is telling everyone there was an argument and she wanted to get out. In what world does that sound better than what’s in the affidavit?
I read about the argument here two days ago. This isn’t anything ‘new’. And both things can be true. They could have driven around looking for her house and she was too drunk to tell them where she lives and they starting arguing over it and she’s says I’ll get an Uber. They drop her off in the entrance of the subdivision and leave. She walks out to Burbank and gets hit.
Either way, it doesn’t change anything. They raped her. It isn’t unbelievable that an inebriated 19 year old demanded to be let out of the car.

had a child that almost died in OLOL after drinking in Reggie's under age. Darren told me it was because I was a bad parent and did not raise my child right. I was about to have him taken care of but was talked out of it. It sucks that it took this to bring them down.
Just so I understand… you where going to have the owner of a bar killed
Bc your kid went there, drank too much had to go to the hospital….
You then pitched a fit and went and confronted the owner and he basically told you that you should take care of your own house before you start blaming others?

I’m talking about this certainly could have been prevented had she not made a stupid drunk decision
Youd be better off arguing that she shouldn’t have drank excessively. Her decision making was compromised long before she got in the car. And I’d argue her incapacitated state made her incapable of willingly choosing to get in any car. More like she was poured into it. I’d throw an abduction charge on the 4 suspects just for good
Measure.
While your point about personal responsibility is correct, you’re framing it wrong IMO.

Gotta be tough on them too. Not as bad as losing a child, but pretty fricking bad.

They could have just given her a fricking ride home because she was obviously drunk and needed help. That’s what good people do. She obviously trusted at least one oof them who was speaking to her in a manner to put her at ease. Serial killers use the exact same tactics.

So has the OT shifted to the point of view that anything above 0.03 absolves a person a personal responsibility. Are drunk drivers absolved of their decision to get behind the wheel?
There is quite a range between .03 and this poor girl’s BAC level.

I agree with all of this. However, she still made a poor decision, whether it was continuing to drink excessively after the first drink or getting in the car.
If my daughter got in the car in the same state with the same people, but had been politely dropped off at the front door of her apartment without harm, I certainly would be having a come to Jesus talk about decision making. And I’d be willing to bet my house and savings that anyone and everyone here would do the same

Thats great, nobody cares.

I think these predators dropped her off on the hwy in front of the subdivision. First of all, she was so shitfaced that she could barely function. Second, why would she tell or show these animals where she lived (if she recovered any of her senses by that point) after being gang raped, including anally?
Their cell phones will show what happened

Agree.
19 year old. Kids do stupid things and put themselves in dangerous situations. These guys took advantage of it.
So did she mess up getting drunk, being there, being there along, being there that late? Yes.
Did she deserved to be raped and dumped apparently in the rain (see above) to get run over? No.
The "personal responsibility" folks must have never gone to LSU and spent time with drunk friends or been stupid drunk themselves. Victim blaming.
4x legal limit = no consent was possible and putting her on the side of the road at 3 a.m. that drunk? Negligent homicide seems like a charge or manslaughter because they did it as part of their criminal acts (kidnapping and rape).

These males are obviously not good people. The videos turned over to the prosecution by the attorneys to try and show consent were apparently bad enough that the ADA decided to up one of these shite stain’s charges to first degree rape.

I don't see on any historical data that it was raining on that night. Is this some weird journalistic embellishment?
