will the windfield widen once past the Yucatan?

It's supposed to weaken over the Yucatan due to land and cool water effects but as it enters the southern central gulf it will be back into warm waters until it approaches the north central gulf. IDK now much Delta will widen leaving the Yucatan. Morgan City and BR with a 70-100 mile radius especially on the east side of the storm need to prepare IMO.

Looks like I'll be on the east side of this storm, so a westward shift is good for me. But frick man, I hope this bitch spares SW La.

I sure miss the days where you would play in the streets with your friends until the winds starting picking up a bit.

I grew up before big time computer models . Nash Roberts was the man.
We got hit by some tropical weather from time to time but my dad told me they’d be blindsided all the time.

He taught me to read a barometer when I was young because he said that’s all they really had to predict bad weather.
He got caught out in the bay during a bad storm @1940 which he said turned out to be a cat 2!
They didn’t even know what the category was until after it passed

This storm looks like an 8.5 on the Matthieu little ball of hate storm scale. Tight and compact, a compressed wedge of intense destruction, destroying everything close but not more geographically widespread damage. Based on my patented storm tracking disgronificator, I see it making land just east of Terrebonne Bay.

I remember he projected Georges wrong and everyone in WWL kept telling him how great he was.

A Cat 4 before it enters the GOM is incredible considering where it was 48-72 hours ago.

One of the most impressive aspects of these storm threads is you guys' ability to recall previous storms.

Apparently he has but I’m waiting for the real one. I feel like a late afternoon update would be the time to do it. Maybe say a Cat 5 one

Looks like Delta might jump up to second or possibly break that record
